The Vita is a Powerful Console even for a Portable, basically it is a Hand Held PS3. The Vita can easily run any type of game on it.

Mass Effect or Dragon Age so I ask this why is Bioware ignoring the Vita, I know normally Bioware is ultimately a Console & PC type of deal. But they have to realize there is Portable also.

Imagine the ME Trilogy on the PS Vita or Dragon Age on the Vita or put Dragon Age Legends on the Vita or make games based from the novels for the Vita exclusively.

Make one for Dragon Age Asunder or The Masked Empire these could somehow be connected into Inquisition giving us Nice Bonus Imports.

Mass Effect has a ton of Comic Books & Novels so why not PS Vita games made from those.

Bioware has not done anything Portable since Sonic Dark Brotherhood, other companies also ignore the Vita being 2K not making any WWE Games on the PS Vita.

PS Vita can easily run WWE Games, ME or Dragon Age when it already runs Toukiden, YS MOC which is Amazing & Gorgeous & Large for a Portable game.

So don't tell me you can not make a Bioware game on the Vita, the kicker is which story should you make & how do I make it fit on the Vita.

This is the same for say Bioshock it needs to be an Origins deal or In Between deal for it to work on the Vita.

With Mass Effect Bioware can make a conntector Prequel that would connect to ME 4 for the Vita this would import into the Console version of ME 4

Sort of how the Novels connect to Dragon Age, or I would make a ME Game that would connect the planned ME Live Action movie.

I wouldn't mind seeing a turn based Mass Effect or Dragon Age: Tactics game on a handheld. The Japanese have been extremely adept at utilising the handheld market for tactical games without abandoning a strong story focus, providing a haven for turn based RPG fans before the PC RPG resurgence that's currently taking place. It's a very self-sustainable market that is very successful in Japan and with western JRPG fans.

Final Fantasy: Tactics/Advance, Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, etc.

The Vita definitely deserves more titles, it's a wonderful little platform, comfortable to play on, and playing classicPSONE titles on it in the train or whatever is awesome. Hopefully Sony will step it up with supporting it.

EA Games on Vita: 4 (Two FIFA games, one Madden game and NFS Most Wanted)
EA Games on 3DS: 5 (Two FIFA games, two versions of The Sims 3 and NFS The Run)

EA and by extension Bioware can't into handhelds.

I don´t think portables are what they used to be. Nowadays, it may be much better to release a game for tablets or even phones.

Also, bioware games either use large sizes of files for voices, or large amounts of text.

I don´t know about you, but I don´t like reading a lot of content on a small screen.

If someone can connect it to a tv, I can understand people playing things like shining force an final fantasy. But otherwise, I don´t think portables are a good place for rpgs.

The closest we'll get at the moment is PS Vita remote play for any Bioware games that are on PS4, starting with Inquisition.

EDIT: When Playstation Now comes out, it might also be possible to stream previous Bioware games on the Vita.

Ya that's why the 3DS has not outsold the Vita, PS4, xbox one and wii u combined and has not been a massive success, right?

Oh wait.

I mostly agree with the OP. tbh I use my 3ds more then my consoles minus the PC. I just like how I can have fun with it without dealing with all the typical BS that comes with consoles, the games are actually fun.

Considering I just got the Borderlands 2 Vita, yeah, I'm hoping more games come to it, but I'm also not holding my breath.

Was thinking of investing in the Sly & Insomniac's Spyro games for the Vita -- Platformers are generally fun on that platform.

I wish Sony would let us play the Crash and Spyro PS games on the Vita :( At least, you can't in NA, don't know about Europe.

Serves you right for not sharing the Persona sales with us and many other titles that haven't reached these shores yet :P

Perhaps SCE's European division is more forthcoming. All I know is that I'm hooking up Silent Hill, Spyro Trilogy and Metal Gear before the sale ends for those at least. Heck, we still don't have the first Parasite Eve yet.

I don't know why I was talked into buying a 3DS. I wanted a PS Vita but the whole"PS Vita is a dead, lifeless handheld with no goid games with weak PS2 quality graphics" came into play. Now I owe my brother $100. But Nintendo still thinks its the 80's with their games being all cartoonish and all, but thats okay.
Well Bioware did make a sonic game for DS and thats all they have done on handheld systems. If COD can get many released on a handheld, why can't Mass Effect or Dragon Age? Well there is the KOTOR port on IOS thats pretty cool and Mass Effect Infiltrator on IOS...WHY NOT DEVELOP A GAME FOR A PORTABLE SYSTEM, BIOWARE( other than smartphones)?

Maybe because most of its catalogue consists of remastered ports of PS2 games, or being able to play older PSONE titles. In retrospect, the actual Vita games look great, like Uncharted Golden Abyss, it's just that there aren't many of them. It needs more support. As for Nintendo -- Nah, they are stuck in the past for the simple reason of always remaking the same games with minuscule changes, the graphics aren't the issue with their titles. I'd honestly call such a way of thinking into question if visuals really matter so much.

Kid Icarus Uprising and Awakening did not have minuscule changes.
