This needs to be done like an origins Style deal then these events would lead into the current Events & the Shepard we know.

Think Star Trek being like a Reboot now being Younger version only 10x better. My Mass Effect movie would be an Origins deal.

I would somehow use key moments from Shepard's Career & showing us how Shepard became an N7, such as Elysium, Torfan to Shepard's Earliest Moments.

This would be set in like say 2170's being a Young Shepard. Then towards End of the Movie we would see the Normandy SR-1 in a Shipyard being Built like in Star Trek Style with the Enterprise did.

You are asking with so many moments in the past how would you do all of that in 1 movie, easy it would just show the best moments & drag them on some, then would converge into other historical moments.

ME Movie 1 would be an Origins deal being done like GOTHAM. No Saren, No Citadel, no nothing, this is about Shepard or would be about Shepard.

ME 1 then follows into ME 1 the game then so on & so on.

I can also write a movie about Dragon Age also.

I simply would not make it.

Face it, the fun of mass effect is that the protagonist can greatly vary, as well as his or her decisions. His gender, tastes, psychological profile, service history, his choice (or not) of love companion. To create a defined version of the character is to go against everything the game stands for. This is like creating a Dead or Alive movie that is against sensuality, a House of the Dead movies against guns, a Mortal Kombat movie against violence.

They could try to re-create the universe, and use a new main character. But I still think movies based on videogames should not be made. The track record speaks for itself.

As I always say whenever a new movie based on a game is announced: Should it be a comedy, I´ll probably laugh a lot. And should it not be a comedy, I´ll probably laugh even harder. Bah, I´ll probably not even waste my time seeing it. If the anime and comic books (done under the close guidance of bioware) are already disastrous, I don´t see a movie doing it any better.

There are plenty of movies I'd like to see done. ME is not one of them. Movie adaptation of a video game and video game world  is a weird, horrible idea by default. Video games don't need or benefit from movie adaptations. Game worlds aren't built or written in fashion that'd bend them to movie format all that well.  Make ME movie and you end up with a shitty Babylon 5 episode.  If you are that hungry for video game flicks, you might wanna look into upcoming Warcraft movie. Director attached to it, Duncan Jones, appears to be a rather brilliant man.  To a degree where I foolishly believe there is a change the movie won't be horrible.

Somewhere around mid 00s, Chris Metzen of Blizzard decided Warcraft sells millions due to his unique ability to write five thousand different stories about characters that get corrupted by stuff. This resulted in him having a Christ complex that makes Cameron seem a modest man. And Cameron literally claimed he had found tomb of Jesus few years back. As result, Metzen who knows **** all about writing a good story has and uses  a creative control over Warcraft movie. This is reason why Raimi originally left. Maybe Jones manages something great despite this. Check out Moon by him if you are every hungry for a beautiful movie about isolation, llonelyness and stuffs.

Please don't think like the Star Trek reboot.

In my opinion the best way of doing a Mass Effect movie is to stay as far away from Shep as you possibly can to avoid making any one type of Shep from the games as being the official cannon version.

It would be best if they created an entirely new story in the Mass Effect universe specifically for a movie.

How about don't even try to make it? We all know Liara, the blue space squid stripper lesbian will be the cannon romance, so you get to see some blue boobs and all renegade will be canonized so you get to watch the whole crew die but the blue space squid stripper lesbian.
