I know they're platform specific, but does anyone know if they're tied to a specific region? As in, if I were to hypothetically buy a Collectors Armour/Rifle code off eBay (if any end up there) that turned out to be American or something, would my UK copy of the game recognise it or not? I'm pretty sure it'd appear on my User Entitlements page regardless, but I don't know if the game would be able to tell the difference.
I know there'll have been no official word on this, but I'm 99% sure it'll work exactly the same as the Dragon Age codes did. So if any of you bought any DA:O preorder items from someone in another country, can you tell me if they worked?
Are the DLC codes (Terminus, Inferno, Collectors etc) region locked?

No, codes are region-specific.

What about Europe in general? Can I use codes from, say England when I'm in Germany? Technically it's illegal to access another marketplace.

Ah, damn. Any link or source on that? Or what, did you buy a US DA:O code and have it fail at the 360 download stage, something like that?DrBobUK wrote...

I ask the GAMESTOP staff this:
Original Message Follows: ------------------------
Hi GAMESTOP staff, well I want to pre-order Mass Effetc 2 at GAMESTOP, but I want to be sure if the code you will give me works with my xbox 360 ´cus I bought my 360 in Mexico (I am from Mexico) and, for example, when I need microsoft points I have to buy them in a mexican store ´cus one time I bought microsoft points in a U.S.A. WALMART and they didn´t work, so I was thinking maybe the same will happen with the code GAMESTOP will give me to download the Terminus Armor or is the Terminus Armor only for the american region? hope you can respond, thanks

Isn't Mexico also NTSC code? I would be interested if American Downloads work with a PAL game. Notice I said downloads, not codes.

I gave a spare DA:O code to someone in Austrailia and it worked for him and I'm in Canada.

Aussie here. This always confuses and worries me. I bought bonus DLC codes for Lost Odyssey, Left4Dead 2, Halo ODST and DA:O off ebay (the cards had "PEGI" ratings, except for L4D2 which had no info) which suggests the codes were "UK". They all worked. I also was very kindly given a US ME2 Dr Pepper code by someone (see above... thanks again!
), and that worked too. I'd never heard of codes being "region locked" in fact until I tried to buy an Arkham Asylum one off ebay from the US, only to then have to cencel the purchase after reading in several places that it would NOT owrk on my Aussie Xbox 360! So now I'm very nervously/annoyingly trying to figure out if I can buy an Aliens Vs Predator pre-order code from the US or not!
I wonder given the examples if region locking content/DLC/codes is up to the publisher (eg EA might be region free, Sega might not be, etc.)?
