More character customization. 

 

Outside of that, the rest is up to the creative direction of BioWARE. If they give us more of what we've been doing, that's fine as long as they expand upon it and fix past mistakes. However, if they go in an entirely new direction, like PvP, that's also fine as long as it's done well.

On 360, working out the "all in one" button kinks. It's starting to get really annoying when I'm trying to revive someone and all I can do is roll or take cover.

More commitment to the product....either stay and support the gamers or let the modders have their day! They quit supporting this game over a year ago and yet still people play...how much better would it be if they had supported modders, knowing they (BW) were going to abandon the game?. Hell, I'd pay a reasonable fee for a new map or new weapons or characters....they dropped the ball on this one. So, what I would like most from ME4MP is commitment to the product....it's a great product that they walked away from. I'm playing a diff game now, but I would surely still be actve if they gave me something to grow on...I didn't quit...BW did.

Unique, Non-Humanoid Character Kits 

 

I would love to see a playable Rachni as a mp character. A kit that doesn't use weapons like the humanoid classes, and most importantly, isn't restricted by having to have the same animation skeleton that the ME 3 kits had. BioWare has proven that ME MP works, so I would like to see them expand on the alien roster, by have actual non-humanoid aliens. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed, playing as my Geth engineer, and my Asari Justicar, but I really would like to play a game as something that is not just a re-skin of the human model.

 

An insectoid Rachni, the jelly fish-like Hanar, the quadruped Elcor; BioWare please don't be afraid to have non-standard kits as a part of your MP. I realize that animating non-humanoid movement is time consuming, but you will have players get a whole lot more enjoyment out of a kit that is totally different then the human norm.

Crawling over barricades, biting and clawing enemies, spitting acid at distance foes > Running around as a Geth-skined human with one or two new powers.

 

 

 

 

 

More Customization, Both in the form of fashion and function.

 

I would like to have the option to customize not only the color of my character's armor, but also their powers, their facial features; yes this means having the option of no helmets; their armor pieces; complete with varying stats and benefits/drawbacks.

 

If the SP of the new ME is going to have aliens as a PC, then I would expect to be able to customize my Turian's face, decide whether or not to give him battle scars, or the 'tribal face paint' or to have him wear a visor; thus improving my critical headshot damage. Allow us players to really put ourselves into our characters.

I would also like to be able to mix and match my various armor pieces. Going with a heavy chest plate for more overall health at the expense of inventory space, along with lightweight leg armor for increased movement speed. Things such as this will allow players to play MP in a manner more customized to their respective play styles. With such a mechanic in place, you could; if you wanted to; play as a biotic specced and armored to be more of a supportive tank, then a glass cannon.

Larger Maps, as well as an expansion to environmental hazards. 

 

I would like to see maps at least three times the size of Firebase: Condor, maps that help bring back the massiveness of ME 1 maps; obviously more varied and detailed; but maps that don't feel that they are purposely designed to be gladiatorial arenas. I know it sounds counter intuitive to the MP horde mode formula, but I would prefer a more natural feel to the levels' boundaries.

Regarding the environmental hazards, I think it would be awesome if they were more defining of the level, as well as something that players could plan around. Fore example a level taking place on a space station with several sections being in areas that are exposed to the vacuum of space and/or outside the space station entirely. It would be really immersive if players had to make sure they came to battle as a character that could travel in space freely (Geth) or they would have to make alterations to their characters and make sure they could survive in such environments (putting helmets on, etc.).

 

It would be even better if such hazards offered a risk vs reward mechanic outside the killing of the enemies on screen. Maybe the outer space sections on the station provide players with quick access to the systems com systems; allowing hacking objectives to proceed faster, provided on member of the party goes out into the cold void.

Those are my biggest wishes for the next ME's MP. I have more, and I may add to my list.

Mainly more character customization (armor selection as mentioned above would be awesome, for example).  Heck, I'd even be happy with a basic gender toggle (for humans and quarians) and two or three preset faces.  For that matter, letting you create your own class could be interesting (not exactly "create your own class from scratch" but more of a "choose 3 Biotic powers and an an Adept passive to make your custom Adept class" sort of thing).

 

Other than that, the netcode's all I really want improved.

0.) Make it happen BW


1.) Priority Net code&servers

2.) No PvP please or at least separate it from PvE so we can chose

3.) Don't be overly innovative so that we can still hopefully recognize the franchise

4.) The omni button that we all got use to eventually could still use separating at least "used" command from running and maneuvering

5.) If possible, throw in N7 kits

6.) Harder, more frequent, more types, and not so monotonous objectives. Scale them according to number of players in a team maybe so they are difficult and interesting.

7.) Unique passives for each race depending on class and/or possible sub-class/tier.

8.) More gear options or even better solution - solve it through armor customization like in SP maybe.

9.) I'm sure there will always be bugs and glitches but at least don't leave broken things broken for an eternity or until support is over, some of the issues that were not resolved officially have been solved by players themselves.

10.) Finaly I wish BW all the best in development of this awesome game that never seemes to get old, and I hope you guys are busting your ss to give us what we crave for, but you know we'll be grateful for it, right :)

BW released weekly balance changes for over a year, and they only stopped so the team could begin working on the next Mass Effect, i don't see how anyone can complain. I think BW did a really great job, they listened to us, fixed a lot of stuff that we asked them to fix, balanced alot that needed balancing, and all of the Multiplayer DLC was free, surely you can't sit there and say that BW didn't care, surely not. And i approve of their choices, i think their time was better spent working on the next installment, than leaving behind mods/devs to keep making changes to a game well into/past it's life cycle. Yes, we're all still playing, but we're the Mass Effect cultists, and we're cultists because of how great a job they did, i'm content with all of the effort they put in to hold me over until ME4.

Lots of good suggestions.  I had a detailed post back on the old forum and need to track it down.

 

Anyhow, some of the ideas:

 

Space Combat (with ya on this BeerFish!!) - starfighters, fighter missions/combat (escort/attack/defend), capitol ship/space station combat/capture/defend

 

Score - more weight based on team play rather than individual effort (ie kills/epeen)

 

Maps - campaign co-op, larger multi-stage MP maps

 

Modes - More than horde mode, as that got to be pretty blah after a while  (strike a balance between battling enemy units, and say hacking, retrieving data/personnel, requiring some to focus on objective while others protect them)

 

Customize - Face, armor, skins, more mod slots for weapons

 

Store - stop the RNG madness.  I gave up on unlocking everything as the RNG store just sucks.  let us buy what we want when we want (mods, supplies, skins etc).

 

Cutscenes - add more to deployment (ie banter), and also evac (as mentioned already, would be neat to see player who didn't make it to shuttle be gunned down or captured - simply adds some atmosphere)

1. More race/class combos. More aliens, less humans. More salarians, drell and batarians, etc.

 

2. Less focus on game balance and more on bug fixes. A middle-ground of sorts.

 

3. More maps, weapons, powers(this will actually happen though...so)

 

4. Character/gear customization. Not gear as in the slot for grenade capacity, melee damage, geth scanner, etc. but the actual outfits and gear you wear. Like Shepard's gear. Change parts and pieces as you see fit.

 

5. More dakka weapons.

1. Netcode. I'd like to actually Charge when I press my Charge button off host please.
2. Delete the RNG store or at least severely limit it. Because having to buy 100 packs to try and get a class I want and only getting Graal Spike Throwers is not cool.
3. Maps that aren't Condor or London
4. Deeper customization, aside from simple color changes.
5. PVP and Co-op both as valid options, rather than a focus on one over the other.
6. Try to limit the BS. Praetorian butt grabs and Geth infinistagger is not a fun gameplay mechanic, it's just artificial difficulty.

So on Xbox, when you hit your D-Pad for any given consumable, you never know what you're actually going to get.  Hit right for an Ops Pack, pull out a Missile.  Etc, etc.

 

This reminds me of ToeJam and Earl, where you would open a gift and not know what kind of powerup (or powerdown!) you were going to receive.  In ME4MP, they should get rid of Missile Pack, Ops Pack, Medigel Pack, and Clip Pack, and just have one type of Pack called Pack.  You can hit any direction on your D-Pad, it won't matter.  You will never get the wrong Pack, because there's only one type of Pack, and it occupies all four directions.

 

When you hit a direction, you get a random consumable, which you immediately and automatically use.  Missiles, AoE Medigels, Survival Packs, Clip Packs, and maybe even a pair of Rocket Skates (10% chance on those bad boys)

 

Or maybe an Inflatable Water Horsey so you can jump into the creek and avoid the magnet hands because Banshees don't like water

I think it would be really cool to see a 6 player co op on slightly larger maps and multi-faction matches (like how platinum is now, but for gold and silver).

 

Dynamic maps would be cool too - like more hazard maps like reactor and glacier (not FBW and Dagger) or maps that re-arrange every few rounds.

 

Also, a game mode editor would be cool too. Players design their own wave budgets with limited restrictions. these custom games could be published on a file-share profile kind of like how Halo's is.

I really hope they leave some things in also.

First and foremost is the biotic/ tech combos.- i think these combos are one off the mechanics that keep me coming back. It's what makes finding "the right build" so amazing.

Secondly. The enemy health system is perfect. Health/ shield/ barrier/ armor. Makes build and loadout decisions so impactful.

If they do away with either of these gameplay mechanics, I will be very put out.

Also the new Seekers (both regular flavor and Plague) would invert your controls along with screwing over your cooldown and weapon accuracy.
