I like Carver best. Yes he is a pain in the ass (much like my own brother) maybe that is where it comes from. Bethany is just to nice for me.

Reading all this makes me wanna play Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2. Dang it!!

I love Carver! He's my favorite character in DA2. Such an ass... it's amazing.

Bethany because I like friendship with her rather than rivalry with Carver. Grey Warden Bethany FTW!!

(Monotone voice) I am more satisfied with Carver's sibling rivalry but unfortunately that stems from Hawke being a Mage, I would have preferred sibling rivarly with Carver as a warrior but that can not be.

Quite honestly, I'm not a huge fan of either, I don't hate their guts, they both just get on my nerves. Bethany was a bit too Passive-Aggressive for me, and although she was a kind, sweet, and gentle girl I can't stand the fact that she feels like Hawke is going to be the death of her. I typically prefer her as a Circle Mage so she can be somewhat happy rather than being all frowny face here and frowny face there 100% of the time.

 

Carver however wasn't that much better. I don't know what it is with him but I've never heard so much complaining from one person. I'm your god damn sibling, not some evil little devil who's trying to destroy everything you accomplish. If you have a stick up your ass about mages than go find the next templar recruiter, don't just stand there and complain. Further more, I find myself in preference of Grey Warden Carver. First, because I hate the damn Templars and second, as a Grey Warden he can be doing something good with his life and he won't be as much of a crybaby.

neither. they are dead weight. their intervention in the story line is kinda strange and needless. pressure they are trying to inflict on the player at the end of the game is silly.
