On host with no stagger, facepalm and run away.

On host with single target stagger, frown, back away while shooting to take them down one by one.

On host with AoE stagger, act normally and kill them all

Off host with heavy lag, facepalm and run away mainly to move into at least mid range.

Off host with some lag, act normally and try to kill them all

Off host with minimal lag, laugh and kill them all.

Generally when this happens, I'm playing as a Volus, which aren't good enough for your average phantom, and thus they ignore me for a second or two:

 

I cloak, and run right through the middle of them firing my venom and spam any power I can.

 

With any luck the far sexier paladin is a few seconds behind me, and draws their attention.

Judging from a recent game I get melee'd 'til I'm dead...or someone shows up with a missile launcher. Either/or, it doesn't go well.
