Ok, we have the threads with the hand ringers posting their PC specs and asking for predictions from the more enlightened BSNers as to weather or not they'll be able to run DA:I smoothly.

Now it's time to show us what your working with.

I'm not overly enlightened myself, but my husband speaks techy and this is what he built for me and my awesome new game.

(on a relatively modest budget ta-boot)

Thinking of upgrading mobo and cpu, but probably will be delayed depending on if I can pre-order a Collector's edition of the game. But It's fine as it is.

You're more man than me if you got the balls for that.

Though I suppose if you actually went through with it, it'd make you less a man than most. Oh, such a dilemma.

@OP, sorry for the little hijack, but I couldn't resist. I'll be a good boy ... for now.

AMDATHLON X2 @2.2GHZ (Overclocked like a boss to 2.4GHZ) DUAL CORE!!!!

2GB Corsair DDR2 RAM @800MHZ

Geforce 9800GTX Limited 1GB Board. Voted Best Graphics card of 2007.

ABIT Motherboard, Can't actually remember more than that.

320GB Spinnylol@5200RPM HD OEM Crap can't remember Manufacturer

Windows XP Professional. Support Ended in April so It's officially a vintage OS. /Fedora

450WATT Corsair brand PSU. Half its weight is dust build up.

Some Case with a Cool LED panel that displays the approximate temp of the room. Super helpful.

Floppy Drive. Yeah.

CD Drive that still has Morrowind in it, haven't taken it out since 2007.

2 GB of RAM was beastly for XP, I had 3GB on an older machine, and it ran like a charm on its time.

2 GB of RAM was beastly for XP, I had 3GB on an older machine, and it ran like a charm on its time.

My PC was pretty God-Tier when I first built it. I quickly regretted going cheap on the Mobo though since it strangled my upgrade options down the line.

Now I can't even run any applications that go Dual-Core and I have to force affinity on one. That's actually a result of the DA:O character creator, which had no frame render limit, this caused my CPU to overheat and partially burn out (Hit 90C a few times for E-Shutdown). Not that it was the CC's fault, I hadn't replaced the fluid in my aftermarket cooler so it was dry.

I think I'll just stick with my intention to grab a PS4. It's an impressive piece of hardware at the price point, no Windows Updates every week, and less temptation to multitask pornography. Plus Destiny isn't coming out on PC, at least not for a while. How you can release an FPS and exclude PC is beyond my reasoning but whatever. Also Dat Dualshock 4.

NFS Rivals (FB3 powered) brought my PC to its knees, but the optimization was terrible. Still, since I REALLY wanted to play it at decent framerate, I starved my wallet:

CPU AMD FX9370 - 8 core, 4,4GHz
MB Sabretooth 990FX R2.0
GPU HIS Radeon HD 7850 - 3Go
RAM G skill Ripjaws - 4x4Go
SSD Sandisk 64Go
HDD Samsung 1To
HDD WD 1To
OS Windows 7 64bits ultimate
Power supply OCZ 600w
Noname DVD drive

Totally confident for DAI, now The crew will be a different beast, given Ubisoft’s glorious optimization history.

No Wiimotes required for the Kinect. No good games to showcase the motion gaming either. But the fact that when I tell it to watch Comedy Central something finally in this house listens to me makes it worth. Should of waited until June though, it'll be $100 cheaper soon.

On a related note, I've come to realize I don't understand computer specs.
