Only build I use because I go melee.

While I've never ran a melee-based Paladin, the no-passive build makes the most sense because of all the combos he's capable of. It gives him 6x6 combos vs every defense, and you can throw in fire shield melee + power = another combo for lulz.

Also if you go shredder + omniblade with incendiary ammo, you can cheese with incinerate AND the shield! ![]()

Disgusting. Spec out of snap freeze instead.

I run melee and I don't spec out of passives. I never do, it's just not optimal in my opinion.

Yeah, I think in the past no passives was pretty standard. But he has so many powers at his disposal, not using one and putting the points into passives isn't a big deal. Personally, I found him difficult to play because he has abilities to deal with every situation. He's almost too good.

Yeah I suppose, the sad thing is it doesn't seem like units fly as far if they aren't frozen though.
When I built mine way back when I skipped Incinerate because I figured if I wanted to get a fire explosion I could just bash them with my shield. No passive may be better. If I reaccumulate some respecs I might switch.

I've tried various configurations and am currently using the no-passives build. Snap Freeze and Fire Shield are a must for me. The rest of the powers/passives I can play around with and my current preference is for the no-passives and 46646 builds.

At the moment I don't mind the non-passive build .... It still feels weird without my wraith :o/
This n7 has so many awesome ways to build him.

Works pretty well, I find. I'm not using it at the moment, because I'm doing the themed challenges (Paladin/Crusader gold solo) and that particular combo I find works better with some extra weight capacity. But once I'm done I'll switch back, as I mostly use a Talon, Wraith or Arc Pistol on him anyway.

My excuse for cheese-abusing the geth everyday is that I have a pretty weak manifest (no rare weapons over 4 I think and only one max level gear
) and the Paladin is my best option for playing Gold and I needs them credits.
Anyways I used to forego the shield but I realized not too long ago I'd been a fool. Now I skip incinerate, which I haven't seen mentioned but it could be a common build for all I know;
ED 4b 5a 6b
SF 4b 5a 6a
Passive spec'd for power damage and weight bonuses
Fire Shield w/ melee damage
Cheese -> Melee -> Energy Drain -> Feel ashamed -> Repeat ![]()

...but arguably the best build now is 63656 or 64646, with a little incinerate to detonate those bugged cryo explosions on non-geth/non-shielded enemies.
Yeah good point, I knew cryosplosions are bugged to prime everything but I only ever play against geth at the moment to take advantage of energy-draining everything in sight to stay alive, so I find I have little use for incinerate. Hopefully there'll come a time when I have decent weapons and I don't feel confined to cheesy crutch builds to play Gold/Plat ![]()

That's how I spec him (66606). Only arc pistol pierce/hcb, no secondary. He has so many ways to do damage it's almost confusing.

I actually made that build focusing solely on combos, let me tell ya, it works like a charm.

I put 3 points into Energy Drain 'cause his is broken! 4 out 5 of his powers are broken. He's the most broken class....a no fitness Paladin = Broken bones!
