Does seem a bit stupid to meet the Shadow Broker in person, though I think with Zaeed you can get away with any story you like as they are all so brilliantly stupid... Seems  extraneous to retell a story he sums up in Mass effect 2 in a short conversation, then again perhaps thats what they have been reduced too, filling in gaps no one is interested in.

That's the schtick of SuperMac. Take the ME2 characters and give them a crappy, redundant, one-dimensional, or some combination of all 3 story and throw it out.

For several of them, the main character on the cover is in the issue for only about half the issue. Look at Thane's issue for example. And then, we'll get some new series after Foundation is done dedicated to filling the gap to ME4/Contact/whatever the hell they call it, and the focus will be on.... How Liara can't overcome Shepard's death in the new Synthesized world.

Yeah, I regret buying the two that I did get. $4 for nothing. Comics in the old days were cheaper, better, and had a lot more in them

I only got #5 and #6 because for Miranda. And even then, they were disappointing because it took place between ME Galaxy (which took place around the time of Shepard's death one month after ME1) and ME: Redemption (which took place one month after Shepard's death). Of all the times to define Miranda's time in Cerberus or escape from her father, or any other mission or operation she did, SuperMac can't think of anything more than the one month time period between Shepard's death and his bodies recovery to define.

I'll admit I gave up after homeworlds 1 and 2, I only got 1 because why not, and 2 for the character involved

The first one wasted several characters who might have been rather interesting, namely the redhead Cerberus operative and the slave-runner guy who was a ripoff of Wolverine and Enter the Dragon.

Yeah I bought #2, 3, and 5 (So I actually bought 3 my bad)... got the rest from another source. And yeah they all suck. Very uninteresting pieces of trash.

Wish I could get my $12 back

I wonder what the context for Cerberus involvement will be in this issue. Perhaps they'll even add a new twist and reveal that Cerberus has been pulling the strings even more than they already have lol.

He stole the cereal after the Shadow Broker was already dead though.

I actually still liked Leng somewhat in Deception.  I wish he was in Mass Effect as a companion.

Dam, there goes my fanfic lol

I'd assumed he'd been knocking about for a bit longer in his Cerberus guise.

As a Miranda fan, my criticism for #5 wasn't anything to do with her or what she was doing with Jacob. As I said, #5 and #6 are arguably the best Foundation Issues thus far, mainly because they're fairly straightforward, don't do too much stupid BS that contradicts the lore or characterization, and the art is actually alright, except for the nitpick where they get Miranda's eye color wrong; she's got azure blue eyes like a crystal, not brown eyes dammit! (though I have been warming to brown eyes a lot recently since most of the girls I've been with most recently all had big brown eyes that were adorable.)

The problem with #5 and #6 is how redundant, irrelevant, and just plain uninspired and unimaginative they are. The others suffer from terrible art, terrible characterization and events, and they all suffer from generally bad writing. Though that's to expect with SuperMac now I guess. But anywho, anytime anyone tries to tell me that he's actually a good character writer anymore, I'll refer them to the Foundation comics to show that he's not even that.

I skimmed it, so apparently it's possible to zerg rush the command deck of a dreadnought, and then to pilot it, and then to crash it, with ease.

A Turian dreadnought.

What?

I'm just going on the story he tells in ME2, he refers to it as a  cruiser Frigate, and the model is of a cruiser Frigate.

Not every flagship is the most powerful ship in a fleet. You might want to safeguard your Admiral on a ship that sees less action In WW2 faster ships were preferred. HMS Belfast was a flagship at various points. Though if they specifically say its a dreadnought in the comic, its a change.

But from the reading material he suggest it was a flagship. Face palm, and not a cruiser. Super Mac doesn't know anything about these games.

The Verrikan is a "War Frigate" (What next Mac? Combat Destroyer? Gunboat Gunship?)

And yes frigates can be flagships.

yes, I've corrected that. An even bigger difference lol

A Frigate can still be a Flagship, especially of the 8th fleet,

In the age of sail it was the larger warships that were flagships because only they had the room to house the admiral in comfort, HMS victory is an example of this. then as metal vessels got larger and larger, every vessel had the space to house command and control facilities. Though some Larger warships remained flagships for prestige purposes.

The Turians have 32+ fleets.

It just doesn't make sense.

Maybe the "War Frigate" is the fastest in the 8th fleet? Or perhaps the 8th fleet is a lightly armed patrol fleet?

Fair enough, seems like its not that well thought out, though it could be the most famous ship in the 8th fleet (which is suggested in the story) and its role as flagship is ceremonial for the Turians. The preview text suggests its "The pride of the Hierarchy"

The Normandy SR1 was going to be the flagship of a small flotilla of frigates before being reassigned to Shepard

Speed would still be important when redeploying by FTL, even if its not important in direct combat

Speed isn't all that important, especially given Turian fleet tactics.

There is absolutely no reason to have a small frigate, that can be easily destroyed through a single hit, be where the senior officer of a fleet is. Besides, dreadnought or frigate, it was a cruiser in-game, and so, SuperMac once again sucks a big one.
