If this concept art is indicative of the final look, I honestly have no complaints about the compromise between believable and stylized, but I'm easy to please.
I do like how the Inquisitor's armor customization is matching the system used for the Companions also

Why not both? *insert taco-commercial meme here* And I'm not too worried. I was looking at Varric's design and I think it hit the nail on the head.
Spoiler for size:
It looks practical enough where it makes sense without being a full metal suit, but it also looks stylish. I'm very excited to see more. :D
I can't freakin log in on mobile for some reason, so let me just say what i've been bursting to say for 2 days regarding Isabela: it was a Thing with some female pirates irl (like Anne Bonny) to fight with your shirt open a breasts exposed, so the men you were fighting would know they'd been defeated by a women. I'm not saying wearing armor on a ship is a bad thing or not, but pirates pretty much only wore normal clothing and having more or less normal clothing is not going to make a difference in how badly you get stabbed. I will say that sword duelists male and female alike sometimes fought topless because it's less dangerous, as there is no risk of threads getting embedded in the wound and causing infection.
So Isabela's cleavage and bling can be considered quite nicely thought-out pirate themes for her outfit, and her boots can be justified as being basically what my stepdad wears when he goes oystering, except in leather instead of rubber. The lack of pants, however amusing, I have no legit reasons to give for.
