[Grimwald the Wise]

I am having problems with my anti-virus software.

 

With some mods it is Windows smart screen filter, with others it is Norton.

 

Every mod and his dog and konalon's tweaks are just two of them.

 

Norton keeps removing Konalon's Tweaks,

and Smart screen filter blocks every man and his dog.

 

I can switch of Norton, but don't know what to do to deactiate smart screen filter.

According to a Microsoft Support web site you can do this Wise:

 

"

1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

2. Click the Safety button, point to SmartScreen Filter, and then select Turn Off SmartScreen Filter.

3. In the Microsoft SmartScreen Filter dialog box, click OK."

Thanks. Will try that in the morning. It's nearly midnight so time to sleep.

Make sure you scan the mod files before installing them Wise to ensure that they haven't in fact been infected by a virus.

The fact that windows thinks one is OK and Norton thinks the other is OK makes me pretty sure that they are false positives. The one that windows is blocking it simply because it is not commonly used. Norton scanned it however and said OK.

Yah, Norton is notorious for picking up false positives and missing some of the actual viruses/malwares...
