So, this is what all of our Wardens would turn into given time.

BTW, if this is what the Ghouls will look like, it raises my hopes for suitably monstruous Darkspawn.

I have to say Ghouls certainly look like how I wish darkspawns looked like in DA2 (maybe DAI)

LoL i hope it ghoul doesn't look like that after all it isn't darkspawn only still human and in all cases ghoul were looking like humans just tained and little crazy...

Exactly. And why is he wearing darkspawn armour? Did the other darkspawn say "sorry bro you can't serve the archdemon unless you wear one of our rags"?

Much like the Darkspawn, it probably retains enough sentience to understand it's better not to go into battle naked.

Well, considering it is ghouls that make the armor it is no surprise that they also can wear it.

In those cases, the victims were not exposed to the Taint that long (the longest being Larius, who was especially resistant). The depicted ghoul may be what happens to a male person who is exposed to the taint for a very long time, but does not die ( resulting in a more darkspawn-like appearence)

Well, considering it is ghouls that make the armor it is no surprise that they also can wear it.

But I don't think ghouls are the ones making armour. All darkspawn are intelligent enough to learn simple battle tactics and they can forge stuff on their own ( see the genlock forgemaster in the deep roads)

But you may be right but it is rather very long process.

Larius looked relatively normal compared to this concept art as well.

The Armored Ogre codex entry mentions the ghouls make the armors. I believe there is another one that also mentions ghouls are used for labor, including forging.

That codex entry also mentions that darkspawn make armour as well. Like I said they are not mindless and have the capacity to forge simple stuff.

Who knows but i rly at least hope that ghoul will stay for longer time human like not darkspawn like. Well even ghuls that were hostile to us were humans like

Utha actually looked better in daa. She lost her hair in the calling.

DA has an extremely incoherent visual style throughout the series with all of their major redesigning of darkspawn, elves, armour, dragons and whatnot for every single game. I don't care if it looks better, I want some consistency. Why are ghouls now pale and bleached?

Yeah, I definitely gave a shudder when I realised that my Cousland, her husband and a number of her friends could potentially turn into that.

It helps bring the whole "sacrifice" aspect of the Grey Wardens across.

Now, we realize that when you drink that blood, you're accepting that this or death are your only choices.
