Bought the OST  off of amazon the other day, and got it in the mail an hour or so ago, and just started listening to it. As one does, with a new cd, I flitted through tracks a tad, but couldn't find the song in question. I do find it beautiful and enchanting in its own way, and was hoping to hear it.

On a slightly related note, I've read on the forums that (and ( may be wrong or mixed up) the CE soundtrack had 6 songs or so that the full package didn't. could it be one of those?

It's funny, even a complete rip of music tracks from the game itself doesn't include this short piece of music, which means it wasn't complete. It sounds similiar to Leliana's Song or I Am The One.
It's a nice song, kinda disappointed I haven't found it anywhere. Thumbs down to the soundtrack compilers for leaving it out.

It seems to be a piece from Leliana's Song (either the beginning or the end or a combo of both). If you listen to the harp in her song, it is the exact same. I think it is a shame that it is not separate, but I can understand the desire to not repeat the same music on a disc.

Now that you mention this, I would like to know if there is a way to change music tracks. It would be funny to have some Kenny G or something to pay on the love scenes.

 Aw, thanks! It's mostly down to the hair mod I'm using ("Don't worry, be hairy") which really softens the look of your female toons, plus some fiddling in the toolset to perfect the size and shape of her eyes, and Bidelle's Makeup Studio mod for the eyeliner.

It really dissapointed me that kissing and love scene background musics arent avaliable and no they'r not a part of another piece. Listen to the music in the making love scene you'll find out its different. Really good songs though

I have also been hunting for the love scene music and am really disappointed that it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. (And no, it's not on the CE soundtrack either.)

Okay - I've found it!

It was bugging me also. It's not given an obvious name (though it is if you've completed the game, but this is a no spoilers forum!)

It's not a "full" song - it's about as long as the actual love scene themselves.

But to extract it, you'll need top open up the file "music_bank_strm_new.fsb" and there's a file in there called "cli300_m*******_*****l.wav" (I've asterisked out the name as it contains spoilers!)

Et voila!

Thats because it's not a music track, it's a cutscene track. All cutscenes (like the battle of Ostigar betrayl scene) are the full sound recording, meaning sound effects and music as one.

I agree with the latter point. They did a poor job of compiling songs. The betryal song is missing that key part of the track where you know who gets a you know what to the face. Who the hell decided to cut that out?

I believe that the track "I Am the One" is used excerpted for the romance scene.

I extracted it with a program equesta linked, and it's an empty file.

@Inzhuna, it worked fine for me. I run DAExtractor.exe, selected from the menu Main -> Open -> music_bank_strm_new.fsb (at Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\audio\\sound\\), selected "cli300_m*******_*****l.wav" (spoiler protected with asterisks; note the last letter since there's another track with a similar name) and then from the menu Entries -> Extraxt Selected (or F5). The file is in the Dumps folder of the program.

Amazing how much of spoiler it is in just the file name, isn't it?!

I must reiterate to anyone interested that do not look for this file unless you have pretty much completed the game unless you want to be spoiled!

Yes, definitely surprised. Though the way developers work, I'm guessing the song you were talking about was originally for that scene and another one was planned for the "tent" scene, but got dropped (going through the Toolset, there were other complete scenes with different music from that scene that aren't used!).

Sorry - that made virtually no sense at all, for the sake of spoilers!

...and I assume that PC users are getting the benefits here again. -.- Can someone PM the name of the song. Maybe I can find it somewhere else.

So, with a little help from forum users I now have the track they are talking about (can't give the title as it IS a spoiler). But
is this really the song when your character romances Leliana? I
don't remember it being this short. I do remember it in the OTHER event
but not with Leliana. I thought "Leliana's Song" were used in the "tent scene".
Mind you, it's been about 2 weeks since I experienced both of the events so I could be wrong.

I could play the wav file with Windows Media Player 11. After I converted it into mp3, also iTunes etc. can handle it.
