As already said, the option to change just hairstyle/beard/hair colour would be good and I feel more realistic than being able to change everything. It was something I really like in Kingdom of Amalur, actually.

Yes, I don't see why not. Those who don't want to use it (or only want to change things like hairstyle) can choose to do so, while those who want to do a complete face change can do so.

I usually stick with the same character from the beginning (or make edits to get rid of mistakes), but one playthrough I tried to play with a default Hawke, got halfway through and realised I wasn't connecting to the character at all, and recreated a face with a similar style.

Yes I would like that but i would prefer it be limited to hair, beard, make-up etc.

I'd like the ability to change my characters face, though ideally I'd rather it was presented as an out of universe option.  It's nice to be able to tweak when something turns out to not be working.

And you could have an in-universe barber hanging around the keep, I guess, for more realistic adjustments.

Yes i would like that, full customization, if you want to restrict yourself... great, but i'm against the devs doing it.

I don't need to be able to change the face but a way to change the hair/makeup would be enoyable.

The times I found myself using the Mirror to alter Hawke's face were those I modeled on my own; with them I found myself going to the Mirror of Transformation immediately for minute alterations to make it *just so* (Seeing your Hawke in the character creator and in action can be very different, especially if you're modeling after a real person). It would have to be right away though otherwise the inconsistency would mess me up. After that, I used it once in a while to alter hair, make up and the profile picture if fancy took me. I especially liked going to the mirror at the beginning of a new act, since several years had gone by.

Anyway, short answer, YES, I would love to have something like the Mirror of Transformation.

Hair, beard and Make-up

Otherwise it ruins the immerson as despite changing your whole look, everyone still knows who you are.

Yes because I hate having to restart just because there is something I don't like about my characters face.

I don't see why having the option to change your face needs to only reflect what you can do "in real life" obviously it would be an option for the player and not the actual character, just like the menu. That doesn't need to be explained within the game so why does face changing need to be?

It's very useful to be able to tweak the character's face after the game starts. Often the CC fails to communicate what the face will be like when animated and subject to a variety of lighting.

I also used the Black Emporium to switch up my femHawke's hairstyle between acts.

I'd definitely like the option since it's much more convenient that having to restart just because you find out the skintone looks weird in sunlight hours later.

But I would rather have it available in the main menu screen or level up screen rather than having ingame mirrors and weird explanations like "Yes the mirror is MAGICAL and it also somehow alters the memory of everyone that ever saw you..."

Yes, please. Sometimes I start out happy with a character, then see them in the wrong light, or talking, and realize something is not right. I'd love to be able to fix that stuff, so I don't fixate on those perceived imperfections the entire playthrough.

I wouldn't mind being able to change my PC's hair; perhaps from up to down, or longer as time goes on because hair does grow.  Maybe I'd even change her makeup... if I let her wear more than something akin to eyeliner at all.  Would save me the trouble of looking for a mod that may or may not work; or may or may not break the game. ;)

I don't care how they do it, but I really really loved having the mirror in DA2.  Sometimes the face can look perfect in the character creator, but when you get up close in the cutscenes, the face doesn't always look quite right. I will admit - I also enjoyed being able to change hairstyles between acts.

I just don't think it takes too much to pretend the "new" look is the one the character always had.

I found the mirror to be one of the best features added to the DA series so naturally i would like to see some format of it continue tbh

The mirror of transformation is a great thing, it really helps fix any screw-up that might come out when you're working through the CC that you don't realize, e.g. a wonky skin tone because of the lighting.

Yes. Yes, please. So that when I inevitably notice that the eyeshadow doesn't look as good as I thought it did in the CC and first cutscene, or that the cheekbones are just a bit too sharp and make funny shadows, I don't have to go all the way back to the beginning and doubtless muck up something else that will need fixing in 30 minutes after it's had enough time to get on my nerves.

...Also, so Inquisitor doesn't have the same hairdo for every occasion, every day.

After restarting Mass Effect 2 four times to get my Shepherd to look right under the in-game lighting ... yes, I would like the option to change my look in game.

Ugh, and having to sit through that prologue video each and every time. They really should have added a skip feature to that.

Not to mention that you have to veeeeeery sloooowly limp through the Nomandy to the cockpit. By the fourth time, I really wanted to shove Joker out the window  .

Im not sure why anyone would want to force a restriction on rehashing your character, if you want a more realistic approach to re-customizing your character, than restrict yourself....besides that why restrict the players who would love this option only because you personally wouldnt use the feature.

Yes I love tweaking them. Sometimes things look better in CC than they do in game, especially with the way the lighting has been in CC.

I always enjoy in-world editors. It's optional content that those who dislike don't have to use.

I, as many others, often feel like our character didn't look 100% like we wanted in-game and want to edit it without having to start anew.

This gentleman pretty much nailed it.

Don't like it, don't use it. Better to have it and not need it.

I liked aging my Hawke as the years went by.
