No, i don't really care for pc's appearance and usually go with the default setting
Would you like to change your PC's appearance in the middle of the game?

I always enjoy in-world editors. It's optional content that those who dislike don't have to use.
I, as many others, often feel like our character didn't look 100% like we wanted in-game and want to edit it without having to start anew.
Thank god someone said this.
I don't understand why people can be up in arms about optional content (I know that was an issue in ME3 as well). It's optional. If you don't want to use it, don't.

Others, I hope we can change our appearance at any point during the game. Character creation is limited by angles and shading. Even if I make a character the way I like theres usually something off during regular game play.

It was there in DA 2, even though it was as DLC. As some others have said, I don't think it hurts to let people have full access to the Character Creator throughout the game. If someone doesn't want to use it for more than adding a scar or something like that, they don't have to. No reason to block others who want to. I certainly want full access to it since the lighting in the CC room is always odd in DA games, and I never notice the weird looking aspect of my character until I get into the actual game.

I adored the Mirror. The Cc lighting wasn't great so being able to fix a couple of things that I didn't like once the first cutscene went active (jaw size a bit to wide, nose the wrong length, skin tone off slightly) was really REALLY nice.
And while a couple of my Hawkes never really changed their looks outside of a couple of tweeks, there was one I played who started out with long(er) hair for act 1, chopped it all off by the start of act 2, and went with a ponytail in act3. It really lent to the character I was playing. She had made a bet with her brother that if he could ever beat her at something, she'd cut all her hair off -- and he beat her to death, so she honored his sacrifice by honoring her agreement. It was, at least for me, a really nice addition to rounding out who she was as a character.
Even if the cc is fantastic and I never ever find myself needing to tweak anything, the sheer opportunity to help push the story with neat character physical appearance changes are ABSOLUTELY worth having a repeat of the Mirror
I felt the same way. I enjoyed tailoring hair/makeup in reflection of where I was at in the story. For the prologue and Act 1, it was a ponytail. For Act 2 until All That Remains, her hair was in the most elegant style I could find (RP'ing the idea that Leandra would have preferred it that way.) For late Act 2 and beyond, it's a short haircut, either the default Hawke's or Cassandra's. One session as a mage, I went and made my hair grey before the end of the game. I figured the stress of being Champion had taken it's toll.
Plus, I had mentioned on another thread awhile back that the lighting in most BW Character Creator's is terrible. I want to have one in more "natural light" or the lighting of an average day around noon. Thankfully, one of the devs (Allan I think?) had asked about that, and he passed along the message.
Putting in tools like the Mirror really helps add more to my character. It's those little things like making the skin darker from journeying outdoors, the hair lighter, or changing the styles up all together add a lot to my experience. For example, if we did something like a ball in Orlais, I'd want the opportunity to change my hairstyle to something elegant and complex.

Yes. I want to change whatever I want, whenever I want. Just like the Black Emporium. :3
yes, this ^

Yes. For people who don't need it or think it feels unrealistic, they never have to use it, but for those of us with obsessive compulsive tendencies when it comes to designing their main character...having to go through the opening cut scenes every time you redo the design is a painful experience, Sometimes it's just nice to tweak a thing or two that's been driving you insane for the better part of the game.
My characters inevitably end up not looking quite like they did in the create a character menu.

I'd like it. I've also had the occasional problem where my character looked nice until I got into the game and I tend to restart a new character. The Black Emporium was great. I do get bored with the same hair cut and looks throughout the game.

In this day and age I hope it becomes common to allow people to alter their characters cosmetic looks in rpgs
(and mmorpgs ).
When you have an rpg game and a character you made and spend 30+ hours or more with it's nice to be able to change up their looks here and tehre when you want to.
I hope something like that is in DA:I.

Yes. I like being able to change my appearance. Especially with the CC never looking the same as in-game for whatever reason...
I like being able to showcase how the story might be affecting my PC.
I had one DAII game where my Hawke started off with long hair... only to have it bleached in the Deep Roads (lyrium exposure, like Fenris...) then she cut it all off after Leandra died as part of her mourning. Makes for good roleplaying, I think.

I'm talking something similar like the mirror of transformation in the black emporium.
I would like to change my PC's hairstyle and make-up because those are the things that you could do in real life and I enjoy changing those things.
Would I? Yes, especially when it comes to skin-colour as the Character Creator's in BW games have different lighting compared to the rest of the game. Hair/Stubble/etc is fun to play with too.
But it has been confirmed that there will not be a "Mirror of Transformation"-like object in the vanilla game.
I'd have to think about if I wanted to pay for DLC like that.

You had to pay for it in Dragon's Age II. It was part of the Emporium DLC...
It would make a GREAT PREORDER BONUS. HINT HINT

You could get the Emporium DLC for free under circumstances, so I never paid for it

It was helpful in DA2, as well as a like system in Skyrim; all for it.

/Agreed
Even though I never used it that much (because I couldn't get as close to the default head shape as much as I wanted), I still want to have this option, either in-game (ie. mirror/barber/spirit/whatever) or out-of-game (menu), to steak the character if need arises.

The Black Emporeum's mirror was an excellent feature in DA2. I often make characters and find out that some sliders are making my character look less than optimal during conversations, which you can't test during creation. In other BioWare games (ME1, particularly), if your character's look isn't what you wanted, you have to restart. That means making the character over again and then having to sit through the intro again.

Tweaking a bit the character in game is a necessity for me, because I like my characters right.

When given the option to alter my appearance throughout the game, I prefer to start a character minus scars (for instance) and then add in such damage as they combat significant beasties. I also like to vary the hairstyles from time to time, particularly when a games adventures take place over periods of weeks, month, years. Why would a person look exactly the same from start to finish in the real world?

Yes. Then I wouldn't need to constantly restart the game to correct that one minor detail that really starts to annoy me.

Khylian, I think I know what specialisation your mage quizzy is.
As for OT, they're 'looking into it', which technically means nothing beyond they know we want it.

Wait, I know! It's necromancer! Is it necromancer? It's necromancer, isn't!
Wait, now that I think of it, did you raise it from the dead, too? The time says there's a difference of about 16 hours, although both apparently happened today, and the second one supposedly happened before the first.
