It would depend on the demon really.

Whenever a demon has approached me in either game with an offer, I hear them out, weigh my options and consider possible consequences, but for the most part I don't agree to them as the terms are generally not to my liking.

However I would not rule out working with a demon until I have heard what they have to offer and what they want in return. They might come up with a compelling reason to work with them.

It seems to me that all of the demons in the Dragon Age world are chaotic evil. That's not an alignment fit for teamwork.

Well, chances are we may already be getting one.

Spoiler

I'm definitely not excited about that. I wish book characters would stay in the books. I don't want another Kai Leng. :/

anything like anders, no....  cole, maybe because his circumstances are unique....  as for a pure normal demon.... probably not, cause deception is their game and they may have you thinking you are in control when you really arent

Nefla, I'm curious to hear you expand, what do you mean by "another Kai Leng"? Do you just mean another character appearing in a game who was originally from the books? Or do you mean another character who is poorly written, etc?

I doubt a demon will actually want to help out without getting something in return.

So, if you become best buds with him...like bros and all. Will anyone surprised or angry when he stabs you in the back?

If written properly it could make for an interesting dynamic...exploring the positive side of something like pride. Saw the negative possibility to "justice."

Depends on the context. But I probably would, especially if it's a desire demon. Because they seem intelligent and at least somewhat reasonable.

No. I've yet to meet a demon who didn't want to flex their power in this realm or feed on others. Even little kids.

It seems like a no brainer to me, but I guess I'm out of the loop on what's in style. Perhaps child enslavement and ransacking defenseless towns is what the "cool people" do these days.

It'd be interesting if we could tame a pride demon and make it do our bidding.

No way I want a rage demon on my team. And a Desire Demon will be Isabela 2.0 (no offense). But a Pride demon working for me? The irony is too good and it'll be worth it since they are the most powerful demons known.

As much as they say Pride is the most powerful, I think Sloth gives it a run for the money. Best demon related quest at least.

Demons are  spirits. The only difference between a demon and a spirit is semantics. If it focuses on a 'good' theme, like Justice, Faith, Charity, its called a spirit. If it focuses on a 'bad' theme, like Rage, Pride, Desire, its called a demon. In Masked Empire we meet one that focuses on choice, and it calls itself a spirit, and its pretty obvious what others would classify it as...

I should have been more clear.

What i meant was:

He originally was a spirit that embodied a negative emotion (likely a despair demon) and is becoming a spirit that embodies something positive (Either hope or faith)

I would recruit anything.
