I'm at the point in DA:O where I've just entered the Alienage, allowing me to finish off the 'Scraping the Barrel' and 'Grease the Wheels' sidequests for the Blackstone Irregulars. However, I've also discovered that I let Lothering get destroyed (AGES ago) before I got the recruit from there - so 'Scraping the Barrel' hasn't actually been completed, and can't be. (The game recognises this.)

"A Change in Leadership" is not currently appearing as an available quest.

Is this because I failed 'Scraping the Barrel'? Or will it appear once I've completed the Landsmeet?

If it IS now impossible for me to acquire 'A Change in Leadership', is there any way for me to modify my Xbox 360 save game so that 'Scraping the Barrel' is registered as completed, rather than failed? Because there's no way that I'm restarting the entire game just to fix this...

(Since I assume the Blackstone Irregulars have no affect on DA2, if worst comes to worst, I can fix this via the Keep.)

I'm 99.9% sure you can't get "A Change in Leadership" unless you complete all other Blackstone Irregular quests. The Blackstone Irregulars have no effect on DA2 (they are never even mentioned), so you have nothing to worry about there.

As for modifying the Xbox 360 save, I have no idea, as I don't have an Xbox. Perhaps someone else can help?

One suggestion I could offer is hex editing somehow, and then putting the save back on your 360.

But more than likely, that's way too much time, effort, and possible file corruption just for a meaningless side quest lol. It's not story important. Just there for extra gold.

Don't sweat it. That's my other suggeston.

Well, I've done hex editing in the past, and I should have a spare save somewhere... Just need to dust off the various programs needed to open up a 360 save... (Not that I'm going to even bother until I've confirmed the Landsmeet doesn't trigger it.)

(There's a very real chance that I'll end up going with the 'don't sweat it' suggestion. :) )
