I have no doubt that Australia is a great place, but I also have no doubt that funnel-web spiders watch everyone from the shadows

 

That's just silly.  Of course they don't. 

 

The Taipans and King Browns ate all the funnel webs.  Well, except this one. And don't worry about the sharks, either; the crocs get most of them.  It's all part of the glorious circle of life. 

 

Watch out for drop-bears, though; vicious little buggers to a man.

 

ETA:  It's just occured to me; that's the worst thing about the spiders, is that they ambush you just like a drop bear would.

The build up to the Broodmother in origins was an excellent example of how BioWare could/can pull off horror. It was extremely tense, walking through those ruined tunnels and listening to Hespith, and the actual sight of the Broodmother was a good mini-scare. Not enough to send you flying off of your chair, but startling nonetheless. I'd like more of that disturbing, creepy style.

Hmmm, for some reason I never associate Scary and Bioware Games. That said, very little scares me unless I'm half-asleep and it's a jump scare. Still, it does bother me when my character gets overpowered by spiders; I'm all "get this thing off of me now!!!" lol. Hate that!

Nope; females only for me and my characters.

 

I should add that some of the elves in DA2 were pretty awful. Hopefully I won't be reminded of Area 51 while playing DA:I.
