I did once but changed back. The problem was when vaulting over cover, it wouldn't.
I would go into cover then have to vault over it rather then just flow over it in one easy action.
I really wanted to get rid of the "space" to enter cover as that kills me more than Banshees

I've changed it to 3 separate keys:
Space for roll/take cover;
E for use;
LShift for sprint (I've bind its previous function to other keys);
Works beautifully.

I did a little more than a year ago looking at a BSN topic. Originally i only wanted to bind some stuff on the Talon kit, but then i saw other links to BSN topics in the signature of the OP. I knew it was possible before but i was in a "let's do it all, once and for all" mood. It was a little hard at first, mostly because of the cover. It was ok after say 5~10 additional hours of play, and i never regreted it.
I had already spent around 700hours on MP (manifest was complete by then), so i don't think having spent XXX hours really matters in the end: what counts is what you're yet to play. I'm probably around 1300~1400 hours by now, so at most i had 10 hours of getting used to it on 700. If I had to do it again now, i'd do it without any hesitation, even if it's improbable that i'll spend another 700hours on the game
When i had trouble i was just thinking of those situations when i got a bainshee hug because of a revive instead of a sprint. I have to say though, that in general i don't lock myself into less-than-ideal ergonomy, even if it's a violent change. The trouble of the habit getting in is so little, in comparison to the gain.
The unbinding of these functions was just a small thing compared to that time, about 12 years ago, when i switched from high mouse sensitivity in multiplayer fps games of the time, to low sensitivity over a span of 2 weeks of intensive gaming. (7.0 => 1.0).

Nice !
and how did U do that ?
and pizza running is not working anymore ?
You don' get stuck to cover anymore with Lshift or space ? No probs with vaulting over cover as Sabre mentionned ?

I just moved Use out to T.
I use Shift for dodge, sprint, and take cover.

That actually makes pizza running much easier IMO, just hold sprint key(Lshift) and tap use key(E) like mad, smooth as silk.
So far no issue at all.

The binding I'm now using:
"sfxgame.sfxgamemodebase"
"( Name=\"Shared_Action\", Command=\"Used\" )",
"( Name=\"PC_Action\", Command=\"PressAction | OnTap 0.3 TapAction | OnHold 0.3 HoldAction\" )",
"( Name=\"PC_Storm\", Command=\"Exclusive TryStandingJump | OnRelease StormOff | StormOn\" )",
"sfxgame.sfxgamemodedefault"
"( Name=\"E\", Command=\"Shared_Action\" )",
"( Name=\"Spacebar\", Command=\"PC_Action\" )",
"( Name=\"LeftShift\", Command=\"PC_Storm\" )",

Why am I being dubbed as a performance hunter?
Mega pls.
But yeah, I never bothered for the longest time, mostly because I was lazy and thought it would be hard to do. When I started modding coalesced for other reasons and understood it's not hard at all, I was already so used to it that I think unbinding it would be counter-productive.

One button to rule them all.
One button to find them.
One button to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

I just tried squeezing both dodge/cover/run in one command and it chrashed my game, so much for that

Hmm, cuz Bioware has detected that you are using space magic…I just tried squeezing both dodge/cover/run in one command and it chrashed my game, so much for that
On topic: have you checked the format? Editing bioinput.ini can be tricky sometimes.

I made one simple change.
E is Use
Spacebar is sprint/roll/take cover
Now I don't accidentally take cover or roll when I want to revive people or activate an objective, MUCH better. That always p***ed me the hell off on Xbox.

I left space key for both take cover and sprint, because they don't interfere with each other. I can sprint to cover and jump cover in one smooth flow by tapping the sprint key at the right time.
I also set E for use, which was necessary for running smoothly with the pizza. I hold the space key down to sprint and click E as fast as I can.

Yeah that's true, this game treats sprint/cover in a similar way, and automatically puts you in cover when sprinting/rolling toward some cover, which is annoying sometimes, and cannot be fixed by re-binding.
The Lshift sprint binding comes mainly from my first-person shooter experience, holding shift to run like in CoD or Battlefield is fun, also a reminder of the ME1 pc control scheme.

I haven t test it yet, was too lazy for the 2 games i got yesterday. But if unbinding "taking cover" and "running" doesn t keep you out of cover when running, what's the point ? (sorry brain not activated yet)

When you try it you'll know what I mean. The ME3 moving mechanics is very similar to that of Gears of War, so covers in game are kinda "magnetic" and tend to "trap" players when they don't want to, I'm still searching a way to bypass this, but so far no avail.
Anyway, it's a minor annoyance tho, matters only in very intense action (like 3 secs to LZ but you get trapped to some cover).
