Dragon Age 4 will introduce voodoo, allowing you to further abuse your companions through magic with items of power in the form of dolls.

i find it a interesting i wanna see people  opinions on the subjject at  hand ,and also im bored every now and then.

I honestly would sacrifice sten or somebody if leliana died she's my favorite companion

It depends on whether or not I had any say-so in said character's death.

 

• Is it a Virmire-type(Ashley/Kaiden) situation-- Where sending character A or B to point X = death
• Is it like Dragon Age II-type situation-- If you don't kill character B then character A will leave.
• SaGa Frontier 2-type situation**-- It depends on which party member you bring to particular event.(i.e. Infiltrate! Alexei Gang quest).
• Tactics Orge:LUCT-type event--Your past and current choices/actions determine whether a character lives or dies or if they can even join your party.

Essential, IF I had a "real" choice, I would do whatever it takes to avoid such a scenario.

Yes. I would sacrifice Cullen in 9 out of 10 playthroughs.

It depends. I have a pretty bad case of the "do gooders," so I'd have to think about it a long, long time to make my decision.

 

I don't think I'd do it, to be honest. Even if one of the followers offered themselves.

Of course I would. I'd give up Leliana for the life of pretty much any peasant in Thedas. Wouldn't hesitate about doing the same for the life of my favorite character.

....OP, you really need to find another topic besides killing companions/NPCs.  I hope you weren't one of those cruel jerks that killed Dog in Origins as well...

 

My answer is, again, no.  If a companion dies (either ala ME or another unforeseen circumstance,) then I'll just accept it without doing crazy things like sacrificing others.  I guess I lack the mindset to be selfish enough to kill a companion to keep my favorite companion, or even my LI.   If a companion dies due to Plot Armor Failure, then so be it.

 

I wanted to mention that I really think it's too early for these threads.  So far, personality wise, we know about Cassandra, Varric, Cullen and Vivienne.  While I do think Vivi is quite caustic, I can't see any reason to kill her yet.   Cullen has always hit a "meh" level on my radar, yet I never hated the guy, so I wouldn't kill him off either.

 

 As for the rest, I'd have to at least meet them before I would: 1) Find any I hated that much  2) Find any I cared about that much.  Yes, even Varric.  There is another 6 people in our party that we've never met before, so my feelings aren't especially strong.
