Upon seeing that ballroom floor my first instinct is to try sliding across it in my socks. My second instinct is the actual ballroom dancing. Now I'm really wondering if we'll get to go all out with an outfit and one of the Orlesian half-masks when we go there, or choose to be socially uncouth and go in armour and a grin that says "I know your customs, I care not for them!"

the bottom picture is looking a bit sparse, it needs more something. Other than that it looks fantastic, great lighting effects.

I really, really, really hope any quests in there will not involve butchering random bandits throughout the palace. I'd like at least a puzzle quest or you know, some break from combat....

Oh, a big party for the city's wealthy human nobles.  Looks like a good opportunity to start another elven rebellion.

I still think we'll visit Val-Rouyeax but this seems cool as well. I would like to tango/slow dance with Cassandra...Gotta show off my moves to my love interest

There had better be an option for the Inquisitor to dance with Iron Bull to "Tale as Old as Time" in that place.

Halamshiral? Sounds a bit... Dalish doesn't it? That said, you gotta give it to the Orlesians, they do know how to be beautifully elegant lol

I'm feeling horribly torn about what to do if/when ballroom stuff happens.  I imagined my Dalish Quizzy would likely wear boots when visiting the city, but...  Arriving barefoot to a fancy Orlesian shindig and scandalizing everyone just sounds so fun.

So if this fancy sounding Elven place is a town why are we seeing only one ball room?  

 

As for my Femquisitor, I think she will be incredibly awkward in the place and really really uncomfortable hob knobbing with the elite and powerful when she is basically a dirty sewer rat.  

 

My Male will probably be more at home, at least enough to where he can act like he is having a good time and knows just enough social conventions to fit in.

My dwarven rogue will totally be sneaking in to this party.

 

And, even if Varric isn't romancable (pleeease, let him be romancable), he's so gonna be her +1 to this.

 

Also Viv and Iron Bull will round out my party crasher party b/c that interaction will be hilarious. IB can totally pull it off without suspicion too, cus masks. Heck, with them both there, we'll just say horns are making a come back this season and no one will be the wiser.

 

On a more serious note, a super fancy noble party near Halamshiral, of all places? Especially when the one throwing it in her Winter Palace knows about Briala and her machniations... I mean, really, Celene. That's just *bound* to go downhill...

 

Though hopefully not until my Inquisitor get's to dance herself a full set.
