FYI, you can get Morrigan to leave the party before the whole ritual thing. This cropped up on one of my latest playthroughs and it surprised me. All my character said was that there was no way she was going to help her kill her mother. Morrigan got pissed off and walked away. I don't know if she comes back or not at the end because I couldn't go on after that.
