As odd as it seems, Dragon Age: Origins did.
When I finished Dragon Age, I was like... WHOW, I want more of this kind of epic stories.
Mate of mine told me all of BioWare were like that, so went ahead, downloaded it, loved it to bits and bought it on steam during those crazy holiday sales.
Then found out my local game seller sells the CE for the price of the normal edition when you pre-order, and well let's just say friday feels like lightyears away
what got you into MASS EFFECT?

I've been a BioWare fan for a long time. When ME came out, I'd heard pretty good things about it, so I got it.

Mass Effect caught my attention because it was a Bioware game, and I've always loved BW games. Then I looked at what the game was going to be and knew I'd love it (which I did of course).

Bioware. Nuff said.
Was always a big fan of Rpgs from FF6 to Morrowind. So when KotoR came out, i immediately picked it up and since then have played every single Bioware game since. No regrets here. I remembered searching for every single bit of information about Mass Effect 1 before it came out. Was initially disappointed on my first run, but my second play through blew me away. Cant wait to get my hands on the second.

Dragon Age. I truly enjoyed Dragon Age and I wanted to try out other RPGs by Bioware. The Steam USD 5 sale came and that's it.

Here's a weird one: I found out Mark Meer was voicing Shepherd.
Now, I loved KoToR, but since I didn't have a 360 or capable PC, I never really pushed myself to go out and get the game. Then I made that little discovery. Mark was a regular customer at a store I used to work at a few years back, and I felt an obligation to pick up the game. Sort of like watching a movie that a friend is an extra in, reversed- a guy I vaguely have a connection to in a big role.
The reviews and "Bioware" name didn't hurt either, definitely.

I played a game called Freelancer way back in 2002 which was a great game and had me hooked. It was a space fight sim. After that anything sci fi was always enough to grab my interest, I can't get enough of galactic exploration

ME was the only BIOWARE RPG I did not have when DA:O was delayed last spring. I had been hesitant to buy it because of the DRM, but I picked it up to pass the time until DA:O. I really enjoyed the game and am looking forward to the sequel. That being said I am torn between finishing my 4th DA:O playthrough and starting ME2 right away. DA:O definitely has more replayability than ME but I expect to throughly enjoy ME2 even if I only play it twice.

Well my friends.. It all started with KotOR... Ahhhhhhhhh KotOR.... The game game that slayed my soul and raped my fragile little mind, my mind!
Then naturaly, being that the next console generation was starting to kick in more, the following year (early 08), I decided to buy me a 360. Now what game could I have possibly decided to buy with my new 360? Hmmmm, oh I don't know, how about Mass Effect of course! I remember hearing about, and seeing the Sci Vs Fi thing on it, and just knowing that BioWare was behind the game, a company that gave me KotOR, I knew I couldn't resist. So eventually when I got the itch to get a new game console and since I had money, I knew I couldn't go wrong with getting a 360 and Mass Effect.
And it looks like I was right. Mass Effect + other awesome 360 games + Mass Effect 2 which is what matters the most of course. Been happy ever since!

The fact that bioware epicly fails at failing
...as in
they can never make a game that sucks, they made many titles, none of them bad, all of them good!

Have every Bioware game to date... well, let's not count that Sonic the Hedgehog incident.
Eh, actually as far as Sonic games go that was actually solid (an 8/10).
They actually managed to make Sonic something decent, which is essentially an impossible task.

Uhh... i was buying my 360 a couple months ago (in prep for MW2, alotta friends play on 360), and i was about to leave when the my friend suggested getting a game to play so i could actually use the thing. He grabbed ME1 and said it was a good game, like $17 used. Needless to say, BEST FRIEND EVER. Made up for buying the first one used by preordering the ME2 CE like 3 days after it was announced.

I read about it in Xbox Magazine about 4 or 5 years ago (when the info was first coming out) and I forgot about it for a while, kind of assuming it wasnt coming out (after about 3 years passed), and then it finally came out and I got it.

I saw mass effect 1 on sale, over a year after it came out, and I said "Hey Bioware is in Edmonton! I live in Edmonton! I'm supporting the local economy!" and then I bought it.
I've been really into sci-fi since I first played Command and Conquer before I could read, so mass effect was a natural decision.

I've played every Bioware game since KOTOR, except for Sonic Chronicles. As soon as I saw they were making a new game I was interested.

Same here. I have always stuck to Bioware's fantasy-oriented games, but when Steam had a great deal on Mass Effect I didn't have an excuse not to try it out. And now Kaiden has replaced Alistair (who had replaced Leon Kennedy) as my video game crush! :xYai-Kai wrote...
