Is everybody ready for it!?

I thought I had a pre-order for the deluxe edition with ebgames and yet when I logged in tonight I had to reset my password and when I got into my account its been wiped. No pre-order, no shipping address nothing saved in my account. I franticly searched around and found it available on amazon.ca, only place that has it still.

No clue wtf happened with ebgames, I'm positive I pre-ordered it. I better not get charged or some bs even known my account shows nothing. I'm done with EB, theres no excuse for whatever happened with my account.

Hopefully Amazon fills the order with no issues.

I did not preorder it myself but my friends have so I'll have plenty of sources to vet it out for me.

Dan, did you order it online? Check your email accounts for a confirmation email for it. If you have one, you should be able to use it as proof and get customer service to fix their mistake.

I'm spending my time now cleaning up around here. I skipped my last 6 month cleanup and man was this one bad! Lesson reinforced lol.

Apparently there was a super limited version of the prima games strategy guide. Looks cool but the retail price is $120, no clue how much it was on a site like amazon. I never saw it up till today lol. Can still find some online but you have to pay retail basically.

I probaly would have ordered it off amazon if I had seen it. Not worth the money by the looks but limited....:P

Haha, my collecting is at a standstill for now. I have a huge storage problem to tackle first before I go and start collecting more stuff lol... Sar, one of my friends is annoyed about the EA pass getting to play early. I can't blame her there. If I paid for the super deluxe collector's uber expensive edition I'd expect a little bit more love from EA too!

Yeah that early access thing is pretty weird, I guess since its Origin their own service they can bend the rules.

I could have ordered the Inquisitor edition of the game back when that was only available to EB, was $150 and I didn't think it was worth it at the time. You cound of spent over $300 to have the most epic editions of the game and guide this round lol.

I seen Brady/Prima whatever is doing uber editions of game guides for other games now to. Assassin's Creed Unity got one. Its interesting but not worth the money for a reskinned guide, a fancy box and some small extra physical items.

Thats just tragic and pathetic. They basically just dumped the items in the box with no real way of keeping everything stable inside and yeah alot of it looks very cheap.

So I recieved the game from EB today.......*facepalm* and my order with Amazon shipped hours ago so can't cancel. Now I'm going to have to return one. Feel so stupid but like I said there was nothing in my EB account and I have yet to recieve a shipment email from EB. Need to check my credit card but this sucks. I think I'll just return my Amazon one, such a pain and now I'll be paranoid that they won't recieve it back or something. I can't afford to be buying 2 period.

I have the deluxe edition period atleast.

Oh man!  Two times the Inquisition!  That's like my Tales of Xillia (1 and 2) Collector's Edition lol.  Not sure why I went and bought the second one for both of those.  >_>  I don't exactly have the storage space for them.  Perhaps there is ebay Canada?  Though, with the damage reviews you may be out of luck recouping your money there too...

Well, have you started playing yet?  How is it (and which one, console or PC) did you end up getting?

Got it on the 360, spent an hour in the character creator. Had a very difficult time making a character that looks worn/older, like a grissly war vet. Everything is oh so beautiful :/. The beards look really off like they glued hair to their face and the hair is super shiny. I got something I'm happy with in the end, you need to use the many complexion options. No scars pissed me off though. I was reading the forums and yeah they were cut from old gen for whatever reason.

The prologue was dissapointing because of glaring performance issues. Stuttering, the camera focused on a soldier at one point and thier armor never rendered and at one point a character stepped back into some light and she lit up so bright you couldn't see her. Just really poor issues, making me wonder if they even optimized the 360 version down before release. Won't be surprised if there are some big patches on the way. Ran around for 5 mins so can't speak too much but it looked ME3 quality outdoors.

Being a video game programmer sure doesn't help lol, when I see these issues all kinds of reasons and solutions pop into my head.

Have barely played yet but I'm not happy so far and one big issue i forgot is you install one disc but can't the "Play disc" which means it spins non stop which at this point with the 360 is ancient bs. No game does this anymore.

I'm starting to regret buying on the 360, its to soon but yeah......

Hey all. Not posted in ages!

Well I got in my Inquistion game in. I also got that big butt of a box. The box is nice-ish, but as per that link, everything is pretty cheaply made. The metal game case is too small which kinda sucks. Also not printed manual or something. Seriously...... I do however very much like the cards. They've got really nice artwork and are a nice size. The map is also not so bad. It's just a shame everything else was crappy. Not worth the asking price at all.

As per the game, still installing it. So can't really comment. I got in on PC. So if any of you are using Origin, you can find me under saige I think. Btw I use the same name for steam. YAY Disc 3 finally after an hour... at least the 24GB sorta gives me hope the game is large and not got nice things to see.

High five Saige!  ^_^  So I finally meet another lover of the Tales series!  So many good games came out for the PS3 these past few years.  I'm annoyed however that they did the old annoying (annoying Japanese game company trait) thing of moving the next game (Hearts) to the Vita.  Why is it that the Japanese insist on building a fanbase on one console then midway through a series shifting it over to a different console!?  I don't care how much I like a series, I'm NOT buying a handheld to continue playing it!  This has happened to far too many Japanese series.  It's like they're trying to push console sales by doing it or something.  >_<

Well, so far everything I've heard concerning the 360 version is that it sucks really badly and if I were to buy it that's the console I would've bought it for.  Give me a heads up how it plays on the PC though :)  Since I am not financially invested with this one, I actually am not upset right now over the issues as I have yet to hear any awful EA PR going off on people over it (if I had preordered I'd be livid I'm sure).  I'll have to wait and see how things turn out.

Haven't been able to play the game itself yet thanks to the usual idiocy of different release dates, but I have received my physical copy, and God do I feel a total mug for parting with £130 for the collector's edition.  As pretty much everyone else has pointed out, the quality is absolutely diabolical and it was very carelessly packed.  And also as everyone else said, the tarot cards are nice enough, but not the best part of £100 worth of nice, considering the negligible value of everything else.

The metal case was a nice touch, the one that doesn't have space to store all the game discs, leading to them just stuffing in a regular copy of the game.  Some awesome project management going on there.

Same old EA, I guess.  Why do I never learn? :(

Argh, why did I only spot the Art of DA:I collector's edition book once it'd gone out of stock?  Bugger. :(

Yeah I had that on order and the special guide, but they couldn't get them in stock locally so it was canceled. Should of ordered it via Amazon or something...

Anyway, finally finished. Took me 90 old hours or so. Did pretty much everything. Didn't find some of the random bits, not important to story, more for lore. Overall, the story was pretty nice. The areas were pretty large to explore. I liked most of it. Like most of the NPCs you interacted with. Really disliked Vivienne though. I don't know what it was about her, but I really wanted to back hand her silly. I played a 2H human warrior that romance Cassandra. I'm kinda sad at the romance options. While there is more, really it's slim pickings. On that note, some of the so called important choices made me plam face a bit. Like they felt force when clearly another option was viable. Still overall it was a good game story wise.

By far the worst thing was the combat. While I really liked DAO's, DA2's wasn't so bad even if it got consoled. Then along comes DAI's which is absolutely terrible. At least on PC. The controls where utter ****. I mean it's really really bad. I can't say enough at how bad it is. Like bad. B. A. D. BAD. For once, if I play thought it again, I'd play it on easy cause I can't be bothered to head desk myself on harder settings.

So, good news, it's worth playing and you shouldn't feel like 'ME3's rage inducing want to slap someone in charge till they have no cheeks'.

I didn't mind the combat so much, though I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying it's good: it's just kinda there, and a bit rough around the edges.  Overall, I've really enjoyed the game though, for me it ranks alongside DA:O and, though never a DA2 hater, I'm glad that they seem to have addressed pretty much all the things I disliked about it.  Notably the endless re-use of three-wave attacks and the endless re-use of both interior and exterior areas: though not as open as TES, it's still wonderful to have these huge, beautiful open spaces to explore.

Although they really screwed up with the CE, the game is a huge success for me.  Not sure if it's knocked my personal GOTY off its perch, which is Divinity Original Sin, but it's certainly a close-run thing.

For romances, I tried chatting up Cassandra for no especially good reason but happily ended up with Sera, whose irreverent sense of humour and view of things matches my own.  Still not sure about her accent though, sometimes I really like it, other times it has a bit of a fingernails-down-a-blackboard effect on me.

Hey guys. My two cents on Dragon Age: Inquisition (feels and reads more like 20,000 Euros):

They screwed up on the PC. :( I've learned 13 Abilities so far and only 8 are available for use, the small icons would be too small for mouse clicking, lots of bugs and glitches, a crafting system that takes up too much time (artificially lengthening the game as are the areas), PC mouse and keyboard controls are awful at times, companions pushing you over the edge because of their way-finding and hold position doesn't work, an extensive amount of jumping is required... this game could have been soooooo much more. The graphics are awesome, the voice acting is brilliant as usual (except for the Wicked Grace scene), the setting, most characters... The story is okay, but feels too short if you only do story missions - like when you make a single book into three movies, you have to add extras, else it is too short. There are dragon fights - if only there was this great moment when the complete dragon lies slayn (?) on the battlefield like the High Dragons did earlier - to be a memorial of your heroic deed. And are not replaced by a single stupid lootable head that simply disappears. Most of the quests are too simple. And what did BioWare do to the atmosphere? Everything codex now is presented in contemporary white letters on black background. What should have been used nearly everywhere is only used for War Table operations.

And then: a maximum number of potions? Are you shitting me? Welcome to the Action-RPG-Adventure genre. edit: Every time I use a potion it's like using Medigel and this is the wrong game for Medigel. This is not what I wanted. Not what BioWare promised to PC gamers. This game screams console game everywhere. I would not mind paying more money or extra for a proper PC version with a HUD that is made to fit PC gamers like a glove. Where the mouse works properly at all times. Thus said: being a console game on consoles is absolutely no problem, but BioWare promised a careful crafted PC version. I expected this... well, I should have guessed from the few PC screenshots and videos. They always said: this is in development, it won't look like this in the final version.

In Origins we had Skills, Abilities and Stats. In Dragon Age II we had Stats and Abilites. And now, there's only Abilities left? You can change Stats via Crafting and add a pair of Skills by Inquisition perks...

(Okay, there also is the fact that I wanted Jo and Sis and me to wear a dress at the ball and not some stupid uniform. ^.^ )

Everywhere I look, I see what Inquisition could have been... and where instead it calls me a 17-year-old brat.

I loved serving with you. It's been an honor. See you next year. :)

Ive played for about 14 hours, no major issues yet. The new patch is hopefully helping but I'm still experiencing alot of minor issues. I'm enjoying it, spent the whole time in the Hinterlands basically, went to Val Reux which was a bit dissapointing. We finally see Orlais and its an area as big as Lothering with barely anything to do or talk to just lots of codex. It was beautiful even on the 360 but hopefully you see more.

Its funny how I had just the starter companions then within a half hour had nearly all and its just like whats up, come fight with me. Ok, done. I like me some Sera but it doesn't seem like I can romance her being a male human. The only person that reacts to me is Cass.

The gameplay as a 2 handed warrior isn't bad but its still just a button masher like DA2. Ive yet to use the tact cam or pause and have done fine. Only time I have died is when I tried to fight lvl 12 enemies as lvl 7-8 heh.

Hopefully I don't experience any major issues moving forward. The graphics are still absolute **** and I'm really tired of being totally ignored by Bioware. If I had bought this port on the 360 with no previous love for DA I would have thrown it in the garbage, its really sad.

I think I'm just about done playing Inquisition to death for now. I have no idea of the total number of hours as the clock doesn't stop when the game is paused (and neither does the outrageous CPU/GPU usage... they really need to fix that) but I feel I got a decent amount of playing time out of it. At worst, there was just as much to do as in DA:O, I reckon. I know some people criticise the number of fetch quests, but as far as I'm concerned it's an excuse to enjoy the scenery!

I see they've now announced the playing cards for the series: I was wondering what was going to happen there, because if they released the tarot deck as a stand-alone thing I could see lots of people being quite unhappy, but instead they've done a set of regular cards showing slightly truncated versions of the tarot deck artwork. Not sure if it's just an artefact of the photography, but the cards look a bit more colourful, too.

Hey Saige, did you ever flip that Xillia on ebay? If so, what did you get for it?

Well, I am looking at getting a PS4 soon and a friend of mine is insisting I play Inquisition on it. It would appear that it was only really made for the next gen consoles and every other version was a pathetic attempt at a port. So, just saying that you all might hear some of my input on this eventually.
