The comic Inquisition is included in the comic Evolution. It is a very short comic about Bailey killing Executor Pallin. (This is mentioned in ME3 in one of Shepard's investigate options with Bailey.) My question is: do we ever find out anything more about this story than you get in the short little insert in the Evolution comic?

No, and that whole thing is a mess. Look at the trivia section here: http://masseffect.wi...i/Venari_Pallin

He was killed by Bailey, but also not killed... He was killed by geth, yet not... he was replaced by Chellick, yet not... It's like they had no idea what they wanted to do with that part of the story, so they just changed it at random.

It was meant to be mentioned in ME2 that he was killed by Geth on the Citadel, but that was considered non-canon and cut. The story really isn't much for BioWare to actually focus on more than what is already said. Emily Wong does mention Chellick as "Executor Chellick", therefore, the decision of Bailey actually killing Pallin was canon'd.

And yet the Codex entry says Executor Pallin was still alive prior to/during the Cerberus Coup.

That's kinda my point. The whole thing about Pallin and Bailey is a mess.

Yeah, it's messy...just as much as most of the story arcs within ME3 were too.

There are just so many inconsistencies in this series. Is this because they have so many different writers?

Clearly...they just kinda keep the ideas of ME2 alive by making them cameos within ME3 such as the Human Proto-Reaper....nothing in 2 really made an impact in 3.

No. Its because of incompetent morons like SuperMac and Casey Hudson being in charge that was the problem.
