Despite the fact that Bioware have been on my **** list ever since ME3 ( I ****** hated almost everything about that game ) DA:I has managed to make it on to that list as well ( especially now that The Witcher 3 has been delayed ). I am tired of being angry and bitter and I want to have faith in a Bioware once again.

I am pretty much in the same boat as Chewin. I am underwhelmed so far this year, seems to always happen when new consoles come out. Also after experiences in recent years with brand-new games, I just don't seem to care anymore.
Just been looking at retro titles and mashups recently.

That's what I'm doing -- Going through old platformers like Crash or Spyro as we speak -- there are plenty of titles I've missed out on.

At least for me:

• Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. (Didn't live up to the original but it was decent)
• Dark Souls 2. (In my opinion, Dark Souls 2 is actually better than the original)
• Divinity: Original Sin. (It's Divinity and Larian have always succeeded there if you ask me)
• Dragon Age: Inquisition. (Looks set to pass Dragon Age: Origins in terms of greatness. I can't wait.)
• Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor. (I'll admit, it has clearly drawn inspiration from AC but the combat actually looks fun and I've liked what I've seen so far).
• Lords of the Fallen. (Dark Souls inspired and everything about it looks great so far).
• Wasteland 2. (The atmosphere has already captivated me with the game and I like how it's completely old school)
• Pillars of Eternity. (Looks set to be stunning so long as Obsidian polish it...otherwise this is a bargain bin buy for when the bugs are fixed but hopefully Obsidian have got their act together in the technical department)
• Destiny. (Halo but open world. That's what it looks like to me and it's got RPG elements)

Already brought Dark Souls 2 and Lords of Shadow 2 so seven to go.

 

Who knows:

• From Software's Project Beast??? Unlikely. It's probably set for release next year but you never know. The lead developer of DkS1 has been working on this since finishing the first game apparently.
• Half Life 3...nah I'm just kidding with ya. That game is never being released for us to play, let alone a release this year and I've never played Half Life anyways. Half Life 3 will release when the world is ending. Fans will gnash their teeth and cry to Gabe Newell "why??" and he will simply smile and laugh as a meteorite strikes him. He will then be applauded as the ultimate troll to have ever existed by people like me. I'm almost certain Gabe Newell is the god of trolling next to George RR Martin who will die on purpose before finishing A Game of Thrones. He'll write all of the final book save for the final page. His friends and family will find him dead in his chair with a big stupid grin on his face.

'Must buys' for me would be:

 

Divinity: Original Sin

Pillars of Eternity

Wasteland 2 (assuming it's out this year)

 

all of which I backed on Kickstarter, so they're automatically mine when they release. Another that I consider a 'must buy' is Age of Decadence (again assuming it's out this year).

 

Others that I'm intrigued with:

 

Transistor (thought Bastion was awesome, so I'm giving serious thought to grabbing this one despite the fact my backlog is so large it's threatening to become sentient).

Dragon Age:Inquisition (I need more info on plans for DLC and whether or not it will be tied to Origin before I move it to 'must buy')

 

Can't really think of much else right now.

4/5 games will probably disappoint as my expectations are far too high but I'm fairly confident they'll be good games.
