I know the only way to save Conor without annoying Alistair is to save the circle and get Irving to help you, However is it possible for Irving to help you if he lived during the fight with Uldred, but he agreed to go into imprisonment?

I don't think so.  IIRC, if Irving goes into imprisonment under Greagoir, it's stated that he and the rest of the Circle that survived is going to be executed.

kalalala's right. Sounds like you had the Circle annulled. In which case the mages cannot help you.

There is a bug (at least on PS3) that you can take advantage of when you sacrifice Lady Isolde to blood magic. Back at camp Alistair confronts you and if you click the "I think that went very well" option he responds as if you saved everybody.

Are you sure, aren't the mages just under observation by the chantry and Templar's?

But, I do know Irving cannot help if you side with the Templar's.

Well, I'm not 100% sure.  I've only gone that route once, but I do remember that the Warden says, "If you spare one blood mage, you'll regret it" for this scenario to happen.  Both Greagoir and Irving agree so I assumed that Irving was executed.
