So, what do we have? Two Orlesian-born considering themselves Fereldans and one black mage very likely non Orlesian-born, maybe or maybe not considering herself an Orlesian.

 

Not to be nitpicky, but we have don't know the racial makeup of Orlesian humans. It could be completely normal to have black people in Orlais and Viv was born in Montismard or something. I know the place is influenced by France/Europe, but it also supposedly has "jungles" and we know it has a desert. Neither of those things are European, so the racial distribution of native Orlesians doesn't necessarily have to follow that of *insert whatever time period here* France.

 

She may indeed not be Orlesian-born. Its a common thing for mages to be shifted to towers outside the countries of their births, apparently. Just saying her skin color isn't necessarily an indicator.

Trick question!  Leliana and Aveline are only half Orlesian 

They all are half Orlesian.

Isn't Aveline Orlesian by birth but Fereldan raised and with Leliana it's the other way around with her being Fereldan born but Orlesian raised?

 

Leliana is of mixed ancestry. She was born in Orlais to an Orlesian father and a Fereldan mother. 

 

I'm not sure about Aveline. She was born in Ferelden to an Orlesian father, but I can't recall now if her mother's ethnicity is ever mentioned.

If we are including all Orlesians I'd vote for Riordan.

 

Think about it. He is a senior Warden in a military order populated by the continent's biggest bad@sses. He didn't break even though imprisoned and tortured for months by Howe's men, escapes by strangling to death his guard (even though he must have been malnourished), and cripples the archdemon by jumping on its back in flight and taking out its wings.

 

I wouldn't bet against him in a fight.

Seconded, I was kinda surprised that he got no mention at all after you kill the Archdemon, considering you would not have been able to if not for him grounding it.

 

On Topic,

Out of those three with what we know, I would probably say Leliana, Viv is a possibility but until I know more I can't say for sure. Aveline while cool and a great warrior, isn't exactly the most powerful when it comes to influence and such.
