I ,personally, loved marian hawkers default design, and I used it on most playthroughs. I liked me3 femshep but well, she didnt have a model for her face.

So, who else will play the default designs? I probably will, because I generally don't like to customise.but I'm worried that we will get another case of plastic face, like with femshep..

I sometimes play the default design, like ME and DA2

DAO was a no go lol

I liked Hawke, and Shep's default look as well. So depending how they are I will do the same here.

I always customize (the more highly the better!) for my first play-through.  Then after the first couple of runs I'm likely to use the default just to speed-up getting to the game.  (Speaking of "getting to the game", there better not be another un-skip-able-without-a-cheat "Prelude" this time.  )

I liked the default designs for Shep in ME and Hawke in DA2. Depending on what they look like, I'll try out the default selections at least once.

I played the default Marian Hawke and thought she was a kickass woman through and through. I was NOT a fan of the default male Hawke.

I like Hawke and Shepard's default designs but I'd never play them. I like to customize my characters.

I usually customize, though not to a great extent. I typically just scroll through the presets, choose the best looking one, then tweak little things like eye color and hair style.

The only one I went with default was male Shepard because it was just nearly impossible to make a good looking one otherwise. It's like the game tried its best to FORCE you to play as Sheploo.

Depends. Default male Shepard was great because he had a well done facemodel. I liked default Hawke as well, mostly due to the fabulous beard. Default fem Hawke, eh, not so much. I liked default femShep alright, but I wished there was an option to have her without the dark make up.

In DAO we didn't really get default faces, just presets. Due to the many races we have again in DAI, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have a default Inquisitor to pick (that's more detailed than the rest, etc). But if we have and it's nice to look at I'll probably pick it, especially if I don't manage to create a face I'm satisfied with.

Depends on what she looks like, in DA2 I just changed her hair & makeup & in ME3 I left her as is. But in Origins I changed everything.

The only games where I play a default instead of making my own (infinitely more awesome ;) ) character are the games that forces me to play as a set character.

I'd like to be able to use the default as a preset. I would have loved to give Male!Shep some hair, or give Fem!Hawke different colored eyes and a different shade of lipstick.

I played default femHawke just for the blood/super-livid birthmark. Now, of course, now I can't see Hawke as anyone else, but I'm def going straight back to custom for Inquisition.

I've customized my characters in ME and DA....l really liked male sheps default look...female shep not so much,it was the other way around in DA though male Hawke in DA 2 I didn't like, the beard it made him look older than he is!

I like both default male and female Hawke. Do a lot of customizing in DAO, but I can't improve on DA2. Not sure about DAI until it comes out. Might use the default male human, but customize other races (namely, the elf).

I typically customize but in DA2 I thought femhawke was done exceptionally well so I stayed with that and in ME3 the default was basically a better quaility version of my custom femshep from me1 and 2.  For male shep I stuck with the default because you couldn't really beat it.

I used Default male shepard because his face was so much better than what i could make and for Hawke his face felt old, so i liked to use it on chapter 3 and tried to make a younger version for the other chapters.

For DAI i'll try to make that guy

I never played default in DA:O, but often did in DA2, largely because the default faces looked SO much better than anything I could get in the CC.  I'm picking I'll be spending a fair amount of time - at least initially - in the CC for Inquisition, because I enjoy mucking around and seeing what I can come up with.

DA2's CC didn't seem to have as many options in it, which left me feeling a bit disengaged from it.

I can't see myself having that issue in DA:I, but I might play through a default character if they look really awesome.

In DA2 the default/iconic presets were more attractive than anything you could make in the CC, by far. Which makes sense, as they were lovingly handcrafted, not made with the CC.
I used a mod that let me edit default/iconic Hawke, though the most I ever changed was skin, eye and hair color. I'm not sure if attempting to tweak the deafult/iconic presets any further would have worked out so well, given their unique nature...

For Inquisition I hope I can have my cake and eat it, too. I'd like attractive, unique defeault presets, but I'd also like the freedom to customize them, even if I'm limited to skin tone and hair/eye color.
I understand the unique defaults are the loving work of an artist/modeler, but I hardly think wanting to change the skin tone or hair/eye color infringes on artistic integrity...

there probably will be another umskipable pre-lude

It would be cool if that blood mark came back I DAI as a custom option.

I use default design most of the time. Partially it is because I'm not skilful enough and face models of my own creation were never as good as the original ones (which doesn't suprise me). It's not a big problem for me since personality and behaviors of my protagonist is more important for me than face model (although Hawke's beard was very hard to accept).

Furthermore default male Shepard is too handsome to replace him :).

On the other hand it would be nice to be able to choose default face model and then change just the most characteristic atributes like hairdo and color of the eyes/hairs (like it is in The Dragon's Dogma for example).

I liked Marian Hawke and Jane Shepard, those were my canon protagonists.

I usually go with defaults if i like their looks...... if i dont like the default then i'm doomed because i suck at customizing faces and it usually takes me hours. :P
