We know there is going to be unicorns, and hallas (see pic bellow) but there are tones of fantasy and non fantasy beasts that we could ride into battle with.

 

 

The first thing that comes into my mind given the Grey Warden lore is the supposedly extinct Griffons. I say supposed because it is said that there are roomers of survivors and that means there is a chance!

 

 

Two problems exist; the size of the beast and that it flies. The only way around this would be for it to be a young Griffon, but it would still be pretty cool.

 

Racial mounts would be cool as well. Having a mount that could only be ridden by a particular race. Like the Dwarfs riding a Bronto!

 

 

Plus I want to see Oghren riding a Mabari like he mentioned once lol

 

What are your ideas?

I'd like to see a wyvern, or maybe a drake, though.

I'm liking the way the bog unicorn looks like a horse with a sword through it's head. That's the way I want to ride.

An actual unicorn or something similarly ridiculously fluffy would be nice, if only because I think it'd might help edge the series out of a possible Cerberus Syndrome tendency, as said syndrome tends to be accompanied by insufferable self0importance.

Personally, I still think the one mount looks like a donkey more than the horse. I hope we can get horses that look like horses instead of donkeys lol.

I can't wait to ride that bog unicorn through Thedas. Every time I look at that thing I laugh. Who would dare mess with me when riding that?

I'd like each of my Inquisitors to have a different mount. So far I'm planning on:

 

Human Warrior: Armored horse.

 

Human Mage: Probably the standard horse we've seen in various footage, unless there's something more 'magey.'

 

Elf Rogue: The deluxe edition Red Hart, probably, or maybe a halla if there is one.

 

Elf Necromancer: The bog unicorn. Forever. They are a match made in somewhere that isn't heaven .

 

So other things I would like are:

 

Dwarf Rogue: A pony. (Pls BioWare!)

 

Dwarf Warrior: Bronto

 

I have no idea what would make a suitable mount for a qunari Inquisitor, but hopefully there will be something epic.

In DAO a ranger class could summon wolves, bears, and spiders what if you could ride each of these if the Ranger class returns.

Another idea I just had is based off the Shapeshifter Mage class from DAO. Imagine changing into a wolf, a horse, or a Griffon!

mike laidlaw confirmed on twitter that "red hart halla" is a mistake and that it's simply a red hart, not a halla. he said he'd get on to the origins people to get them to fix it

so thus far, halla not confirmed

 

I do want halla as an option though.

 

I swear I read somewhere they were talking about pig and lizard mounts...
