Hey guys,

So what's your favorite gaming achievement evarr? Could be related to Mass effect, these challenges, xbox achievements (ps3 trophies) or whatever else.

Was there a moment when you were like holy sh**, I got it! I need to share this with someone ASAP!! And then there was nobody to share it with and you were like, aww. And then you cried. a lot. ?

Now there is a place to share such achievements of awesomeness!!

As a first example.. It's not something I have achieved yet, but I got back into lolDefiance lately and I'm working on this one cause I love the image and title and cause headshots in this game are really pretty tough to get. Also, it's pvp which has been surprisingly fun, except I headshot somebody yesterday and he wrote me a message back, saying "You Mad?" Ahh pvp

-Kill 50 players with headshots

Edit: Well, I guess that wasn't a proper example.. So I was happy with this one from Diablo III, It took close to 20 hrs and a few tense moments. Reach level 30 without dying.

First sub 40, and sub 30, gold solo. Nearly had 10 waves survived, but died on wave 8 and couldn't be bothered to keep trying. I'm impatient, you see.

Seriously 3.0 is probably the most time consuming achievement ever created. I'm not even close to getting it and never will be.

Kind of off topic but I wanted to rage about this somewhere.

Yeah, I saw that in an article, it's considered the hardest achievement on Xbox (mainly because of how many hours it takes to get it.)

Well, when you get it, you can post it here too :) Also, this thread is for on and off topic achievements so it's all good. I'm changing the title now.

This popped into my mind first:

"If They Came to Hear Me Beg"

"Performed an Assassination against an Elite to survive a fall that would've been fatal."

I think I redid this jump about 50 times after I got the cheevo for its sheer awesomeness.

Another one would be "A Monument to All Your Sins", also from Halo: Reach. The definition says it all: "Completed every mission in Halo: Reach alone, on Legendary." That was a long, crazy, sometimes rage-filled journey. But I did it!

^That looks pretty sick and I imagine a lot harder than it seems too! (and it seems difficult)

Side note, I think I'm going to record all of the remaining headshots I need (prob like 35) and make a montage when I get the cheevo :)

Also, apparently Insanity for ME3 is one of the most difficult achievements out there hmm. I guess..

Right now would be the Master Wizard achievement from Black Ops 2 which is to wield all the ultimate staffs in one game. If you can do with with a full team that knows what they're doing, then that's no problem. Doing it solo, is another story. I got screwed over when I got out of the crazy place and Mr. Bubbles (aka Panzer Soldat), blocked my exit from the tunnel and I died. :( Another tough achievement was beating the first Gears of War on Insanity. I damn near did it all by myself but RAAM kept giving me a hard time and I caved in and enlisted the help of pugs online. I actually made my very first XBL friend through that attempt.

ME 3 insanity in general isn't all that hard. It's doing The One and Only achievement on Insanity that's truly hard.

That's a good point actually. I agree. I beat me3 on insanity for my first playthrough in a few days without too many problems (although I got stuck at Kai Leng for like 2 days). However, I struggled on the One and Only and actually ended up dropping the difficulty (in shame) to get that cheevo. Had they made it an insanity only requirement, it would probably have been one of the toughest out there.

As a reminder, it's this one:

Defeat a group of Spectre-level opponents on Normal, Hardcore, or Insanity.
50 UNLOCKED

Edit: Come on, I think Kahje's Finest Outlier Spectre is one of the hardest achievements out there! :P

This reminds me, I need to get back and 100% ME3. I never bothered with the Citadel DLC achievements thanks to MP.

Favorite challenge achievement:
1. Completing the N7 challenges of this group :D
2. Insanity playthrough of ME 2

Most annoying achievement was little rocket man from Half Life 2 Episode 2 D:
I also never got the kill all scubs achievement of HL 2 EP 2

I forgot one. There's an achievement in Batman: Arkham City where you have to fight a whole bunch of enemies with knives, guns, hammers, genetically mutated beasts like Bane. I did it almost flawlessly (I just took one blow in a ~8 min long fight sequence) on the highest difficulty. It is definitely one of my favorites.

^ Would have been cool to have that on vid bgsam. Speaking of fight sequence...Your post made me want to watch this again.

There was no achievements back then but beating Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja. Mass Effect wise finally getting the Asari ally achievement.

Well it's not technically an "Achievement" in the xbawks/PS3 getting a trophy sense but I beat the game I Wanna Be The Guy, for those who have never heard of it it's an aggravating piece of crap indie platformer on the PC where everything kills you when it's not crashing. I pretty much reached Peak Rage while playing it "blind" in the sense that I did not watch walkthroughs or youtubes of it prior to playing.

Also this

Got it for dating a Turian, namely Garrus

best achievement

While I'm not familiar with Ninja Gaiden (Master ninja sounds tough), I know what you mean about the ally achievement. How many playthroughs did you have to do?

I missed out on my Krogan Ally achievement after my third full playthrough of me1, which is a complete bummer cause as you know, that means having to redo a full playthrough. :/ I still don't have it. Hopefully I will go back and do another series runthough eventually though.

I bought Mass Effect day one in 2007, I got the Asari ally achievement in 2011. I still don't have Turian ally, last time I tried to play Mass Effect I got bored  before Jenkins demise.

During my 11 ME playthroughs, I had plenty of time to get all the Ally achievements, lol. :)

All I cared about ally achievements in ME 1 was Soldier and Asari ^_^
