I do that all the time in my current DA:O playthrough. I go have some flirty banter with Alistair, give him a kiss, then go sleep with Zevran. Then go kiss Alistair again. And neither of them care!

 

Now, if there were actual consequences to doing it....then probably not. Unless for some reason I like the new person better, and this was just my way of dumping my current LI.

It depends what stage the romance is at. I always sleep with Isabela with my Leliana romance active but it's early enough in the game that there really has only been flirting. So it's not like there's really a relationship to cheat on. I will at some point play an ahole character so he'll probably do some cheating.

It depends on the character I'm playing. Is the PC certain kind of person who would cheat on in this situation? And if the PC is then she would cheat on even if she would get caught.

(and I hope to replay the game a few times, so it's kind of pointless.  Actually there'd be more point if you were going to get caught, since then there might be some interesting consequences)

Despite all my bitching and moaning and my constant pessimism I am a romantic at heart, I want to believe in soul mates, true love and living happily ever after so it's not in my nature cheat on a partner either in real life or in a game. Having said that in ME1 I romanced Ashley and when ME2 came around I romanced ( and stayed loyal for the rest of the trilogy ) Miranda. As far as many are concerned my Shepard cheated on Ashley even though in my head Ashley abandoned my Shepard and broke his heart.

no that would not make sence you would have to make effort to hide it at least. it makes no sence if they see you in dont respond to it.
