The Deluxe Edition comes with ingame stuff the Regular Edition doesn't.

If the Collector and Deluxe editions aren't your cup of tea, there may be DLC you can get later for in-game stuff like weapons, armor, etc. How much later is the question, though. You might be waiting for a while.
I thought I read somewhere that there would be no DLC characters, however.
I don't think you're alone in wanting "other" preorder bonus stuff. Of that whole CE, the tarot cards are the only thing I'd really want. And just barely. I'm sure they, and all of the other stuff, are great, but I just don't have the room or desire for more game swag.
They can't please everyone, despite their best efforts.

I'm sure there will be some sort of pre-game promotional thingies with Facebook and what not that will lead to some sort of awesome Dragon Age bonus items.

Don't have a gaming PC nor do I have Modding knowledge.

I don't want the stuff they are offering as collector items. I want exclusive and more content for in-game play. I want characters, weapons, spells, and gear items.
Exclusive characters and spells?

The question is, why would you want exclusive stuff, or more accurately, have others miss out on those goodies (because that's what exclusitivity means)?

If people are going to pay for anything extra they should have an opportunity to get exclusive stuff. If people pay extra money others players or fans shouldn't get the same content for free. It makes no sense.

They do. They are called outside goodies.

Aha, the problem however is, if you can get the extra stuff, others can too. So it's only exclusive for as long as some people don't want to spend money on it, which is exactly how it's going on right now as the deluxe edition and preorder goodies are only available to those who pay extra or and/or preorder.
So your beef isn't with with exclusitivity, but with the stuff they offer as bonus goodies in the CE.

Didn't go well with ME3 and From Ashes DLC, people would flip over it if it happened in DA:I
It didn't? That DLC sold great, I heard.

It did, because it was a frakking prothean. A character and civilization that most hardcore Mass Effect fans have been waiting to learn more about since the beginning. What do they do? Cut it away to sell as DLC.
That is just so... Ugh. I was so dissapointed in Bioware.
I'm going to go log off now, i'm starting to relive the bad feelings I had back then.
