There are lots of ways to get the best ending. Heck, with enough MP promotions, you don't even need any other War Asset.
Heh. My N7 Special Ops teams could win the war without the Alliance. ![]()

If it wasn't for the game punishing me with results and telling me that I'm a terrible person who did the absolutely indefensible option of siding with the Salarians and not acknowledging that the genophage was wrong and that the Krogans had suffered enough for their mistake and how Wrex and Eve really would do better with the Krogans, I'd have to count myself as a person who would do so in a heartbeat.

If Wrex is alive, you're completely right.
But if Wrex is dead, you get much more war assets for 'betraying' the Krogan. If you destroyed the data in ME2, you get even more (as you can save Mordin). And I don't recal anyone disagreeing with my decision in that situation.. but that might be my own memory lacking or just not caring.

No. Eve is worth more than Mordin, at least if you disarm the bomb. Eve is worth 50 points. Mordin is worth 25 points.
Yeah, I've done it. Not on my canon run but other saves.
What surprised me was how bad I felt after doing it. I wasn't expecting to feel anything, it seemed the obvious thing to do. Still, though, I felt really dirty about giving the krogan false hope while they would continue to slowly die out -- even if they didn't "deserve" the cure.
It made me see why Mordin struggled with it like he did. I do still think it was the right call, though, little pictures and all.
Did you do the N7 MP Silver missions?
My N7 War Assets barely surpasses 1K...but still enough to reach 9K in total...
Don't know that an N7 Silver mission is. My war assets from MP come strictly through the promotions. I believe my N7 Special Ops asset is worth 4750.

I agree. You especially feel bad if Eve lives. Even if you have Wreav around, having Eve survive makes you feel bad for betraying her. Her post-sabotage dialogue is really hard to swallow around the guilty lump in your throat. ![]()
Oh man... I really need reading lessons.

Think I've done every dialogue option (for this) except the one where Shepard can tell Garrus about the sabotage with Wreav in charge.
The first time I tried a sabotage-the-cure-with-Wrex-in-charge run through my resolve broke the minute Wrex called my Shepard a brother. I've done it since then, but destroying the data and not being sorry about it certainly helps.
Outside of the main story not having Wrex for the Citadel DLC is difficult; no team Krogan for the Arsenal Arena. ![]()
I'm interested in why Wrex believes the cure was sabotaged.
When he approaches you on the Citadel he activates his omni-tool playing the audio of the Dalatross telling Shepard she will give her fleets if the cure is sabotaged. I'm sure he gets the same message even when you choose the cure. Why wouldn't he appraoach you and ask about it? Or at least send an email inquiring about it? Just because he hears that audio doesn't mean the cure was sabotaged.

You get over it, shooting Mordin was the hardest part, but once you get past that you can do the rest. It had to be done sadly, for the good of the galaxy.

If you tell him straight up on the truck what the Dalatrass wanted, I believe Shepard plays the call on the omnitool to back it up.

Shepard does. But what about if you don't tell Wrex and go ahead and cure the genophage?
Perhaps you can have the best of both worlds? Did they ever fix the issue where you could avoid encountering Wrex on the Citadel by using the DLC terminals to return to the Normandy (instead of the docking bay), thus avoiding the encounter and not getting the WA docked?

Tried that and he still confronts you.

Okay, so they did fix it. I think it was only available for a brief time after they released the Leviathan DLC.

Dalatrass: We can provide you our very best scientists to build the Crucible...and the full support of our fleets.
Shepard: If I sabotage the cure.
Dalatrass: Think about it, Commander. The choice is yours.
I don’t think it would be that hard for Wrex to find out that Salarian scientists are working on the Crucible, the Salarian fleet is taking part in operations and (of course) female Krogans not getting pregnant. How he obtained the recording, on the other hand, is a good question.
Padok Wiks (on Sur'Kesh): I differ from most of my colleagues. Curing the genophage will bring closure to this issue.
He says the line above just before the elevator, but I do not know if the line is different if Mordin and Kirrahe are dead. Since he used the word "most" I figured there were other Salarians who felt the same way.

It wouldn't be hard for him to know that, but he also has to realize that if the Salarian Councilor is saved, their fleets are given as a thank you I believe. And if the councilor is killed, why couldn't he accept that the Salarians might want to help stop the reapers?
It seems that pretty much nobody who supports not curing the Genophage realizes the simple fact that although the salarians don't join the allied fleets, they're still going to be fighting. Fighting independantly perhaps, but still an organized defence against the Reapers.
Whereas the krogan would almost certainly be pretty much a lost resource.
