What type of weapons would you like to see in DAI? There are a lot of weapons unused in the DA series that would fit in perfectly. For instance the Halberd a great looking weapon that would make sense now that we are getting mounts, The Halberd was designed to help foot soldiers to topple cavalry men using an axe atop a long pole. It has a spike at the top and hook shaped back area to the axe.
A Dwarf couldn't handle such a weapon though as it would be impossible the carry.
But if people started to use weapons like that how would the Templars be able to tell the mages apart?
After all they're not that smart and need all the help they can get.
But really as someone who plays a mage a lot, and loves spears, I quite like the idea that mage staff's (if we're stuck to staff's again) look like Halberds, or at least spears. Much like the Staff of Parthalan or the staff version of Bassrath Kata.
But as for other roles, Not sure why a warrior would need one (in game), where swords and great swords/axe's would do.

Wulfram remainded me I forget I want Tallis build throwing daggers. I want play rogue and want attack my opponent safely from distance but don't like bows and like daggers. So Tallis build perfect for me.
I'd like rogues to be able to use swords and axes again...
I'd like to see race styles for all weapons, cos each race obviously has their own cultural differnces so why can't that extend to their weapons?

regular sized spears would be cool. pikes are only useful in massed ranks, so no point in adding them since we probably won't be fighting that way.
I just hope there is a decent choice of "normal"looking swords, bows...the high level weapons are usually too over-the-top for my taste like the Hawke's Key for example,

Spears and pikes. Too few RPG's have them. It would be especially nice to have these if we can engage in combat whilst on our mounts.

I want scythe as weapon.
Why would anyone want to use a farming tool as a weapon? Anyone who can afford a real weapon at least that is.
A scythe is a HORRIBLY bad weapon. Warscythe I can get behind (even though they have very little in common other than their name), but a classic scythe, no matter how ridiculous it looks, is just ... no. Just no.
