1/3 through the episode atm. I'm fairly certain I know where they are going with this wolf thing.. I mean I was pretty sure I knew beforehand but I'm especially certain after I heard the grandma's story to the rest of the town.

would you say the result was better than what your impression lead you to believe? You are half-right;Granny's one too, just aged to the point where only some of the characteristics and traits remain.

I like getting a bit caught off-guard so overall yeah I liked it. I was actually just going to be a bit disappointing if I was completely right since I guessed it within the first couple scenes of the fairytale part.

I hate this show. Hate, hate, hate. Of course this must have to do with the fact I tried to catch it in the middle of the season and couldnt understand a goddamn thing.

 

Lol, yeah, you have to watch from the start to understand it completely. Although I feel you. There are often times I just wanted to stop watching it because sometimes I really hate it too, but I'm just not strong enough I guess o.o

On these forums? Nah. That image should be called, "How to ruin a show at a glance". It's all it would take for someone to have multiple things spoiled like who lives and dies later, who they haven't seen yet, how they're all connected, etc etc. I actually told Earthbound yesterday to avoid this thread at all costs until we moved on to a new page. I'm still worried because folks watching the show could think they'll run into a safe spoiler, click the tag, and then have three seasons of stuff thrown at them before they got to it.

I'll write up my thoughts on what I saw already as soon as I get a chance. The episode I left off on seemed to be going into Regina which is certainly interesting.

FINALLY got around to finishing episode 18. It's been a busier weekend then I was initially expecting but I'm ready to finish off the rest of the season.

 

On Episode 18

I can't say that her back story justifies what Regina has done, but it does make me understand her hatred for Snow White. It all plays into that whole thing about evil not being born but created. We always hear about the people in fairytales who get their happy ending but for every person who every person that finds true love and gets their happiness there is another who has their lives destroyed and loses the person they cared about. It would make sense that the people who loss their happiness would feel resentment to those who achieved it and seek revenge against those who have hurt them the most. Duality is an important concept to me and I'd say this plays into that rather well.

 

Regina could have easily just become another princess with her own happy ending. Who's to say that someone like Snow White couldn't just have easily turned into Regina? We already got a taste of her darker side when the love is taken away.

 

Another amazing episode imo. As you have probably noticed by now a good villain makes or breaks a show for me and this show has 2 amazing ones.

Fairy tales (the original ones) generally do very little character development - especially for villains.
