Forgive and forget, Marian, God. Why are you holding such a petty grudge?

Very aggravating so far. Regina ignoring Henry because her ~man~ left her is such bad writing and directly contrasts with the image the show writers have been trying to portray since season one. Jesus Christ.
Emma: "I'm freezing, and you aren't cold."
Elsa: "It doesn't bother me."
Inner Frozen fangirl moment, oops.

I'm so proud of so many characters in this episode. Not Hook tho.

I don't understand why they had Regina and Rumplestiltskin, two incredibly powerful sorcerers, just sit by doing absolutely nothing all episode. And why wasn't Regina in this at all? And what the Hell is with that crow?
And what's with this "Elsa needed Charming" nonsense? The whole point of Frozen was that she learned to control it by herself, and that the power was within her all along if she was just confident and at ease enough with herself to use it, but that was yanked away from her character arc just so the Useless Brigade could feel plot-relevant.
I'm ignoring Hook's presence because his character and his dynamic with Emma is one of the most forced pieces of writing I've had the misfortune to see. They had to actively add in a line where he says he doesn't see her as an object because they couldn't write him well enough to give that impression on its own.

Regina and Henry hug. I enjoyed this scene enough to make the rest of it worth it, I guess. The Emma/Elsa banter was nice, too, I liked seeing that.

That sword duel between Bo peep and David was like watching Luke duel Vader. I love me a woman who knows how to one-hand a longsword.
I can't be the only one who after watching this episode wants more Bo Peep in the future. Holy *expletive*.

Yeah, reminded me of the Season 1 glory days where the interpretations of the fairy tales were actually novel and interesting.

I didn't expect OUAT's Bo Peep to be a morally bankrupt warlord who's magical staff allows her to track her runaway vassals and sheep. That was a nice surprise.
This is why I love this show.

I really like their casting of Elsa, actually, while I'm thinking about it. I wasn't huge from the promo pics, but after seeing her in the show, I've changed my mind.

I do agree with Voragoras' critique, especially the bit on Elsa lacking control over her power. Though i think the writers might handwave it away by saying that being in StoryBrooke had affected Elsa's control or something.
She went from her time and locale to one from the future with things she can't recognize or understand. I'd get her lack of control too.

Oh, I don't mean that it's weird she suddenly lacks control, I mean the method by which she gains control is defeating her character's driving theme in the movie itself, which is to stop being so afraid of yourself and accept who you are. That she needs Charming to come along and basically do it all for her is kind of a bit humiliating for her development, imo, and it doesn't really show her growing as a person.

Not true Prince, you'd only lose control over your powers if your hair is cut. Think Samson.
Hahahaha, I'll keep my hair flowing then.
