There's a ridiculous amount of stills been released that pretty much spoil every aspect of a particular scene from an upcoming episode. So much so that I won't be posting them here.

I know there's been a bit of a backlash against the Frozen hype recently, but... I'm still a fan. And this latest episode is growing on me more and more, haha. Can't wait for the next one, bad CGI aside.

I think it's more a question of whether it deserves that popularity then it just being an issue of hating anything popular.

So I watched season 3 episode 3 yesterday and it was an alright episode. I'm curious how others feel about the blue fairy?

On the one hand it's nice to have a character who doesn't just pretend like everything works out just cause, plus I think it's kind of neat that out of everything in this world it seems like fairies have the more strict obligations and unforgiving role, which sooort of makes sense considering the role they play with magic.

On the other hand she's a bit of a ****** and doesn't seem to show much understanding for the individual fairies feelings, going as far as to go behind the one fairies back and convince her love to leave her for her own good.

Sort of a mixed bag of nuts that one.

That's odd. It took me a few episodes to consider that she might actually have a crush on sleeping beauty but I never got any impression she was actually interested in Philip like that at all :S

Its never explicitly stated either way. Its hinted mostly at Philip for a while, then at the end there's the idea it might be Aurora and its hinted there. At least that seems to be the intent.

Iono she never actually showed any interest in Philip beyond wanting to help him out. With SB she was being a bit more protective then a person would with just a friend.

Just my impression on it. I honestly didn't get the impression she was romantically interested in Philip at all. Although I guess I shouldn't say I "knew it" with SB but I definitely got that impression.

I'm sort of indifferent to the Blue Fairy, probably because its been a while since I've seen her involvements in the show.

Me neither. I thought it was just an honour thing - she seemed go above and beyond what was required with Aurora, but with Philip, it was a kind of... You saved my life therefore my life is yours. I didn't really see anything beyond a mutual respect.

(My friend also thought that Mulan wanted talk to Philip in that episode, and I had to actively convince her that this was stupid. I think she's just... not used to seeing anybody who isn't straight in the shows/movies she watches, lol.)

 

Also, Blue Fairy? I feel like she's too preachy and classically "good", so she just comes across as kinda self-righteous and patronising in the end.

To be fair she's not a major character. But she has popped up several times now and I find her role interesting. She is surprisingly strict for a fairy but I can sort of get why considering their importance with magic. She does seem prone to making decisions for the other fairies against their wills though which I think is a sort of dick thing to do.
