Joining the party late, but better late than never, right?

 

Anyway, I have a love hate relationship with this show. It's like it has so much potential and the 1st couple season really were living up to that potential, but then it kinda started going down hill. Only I can't seem to give up on it all together.

 

Just going to touch on a few things you've all already brought up...

I am also not really on board the Emma/Hook relationship. I don't like him any more or any less than Bae. I honestly don't think either one of them are right for her. It's like she goes from this self reliant badass to someone else entirely. She needs an equal and I don't think we've seen that yet.

So, I'm also not a fan of the Regina/Hood relationship either. It's not that I have a problem with him. It's more personal. The whole pre-destined, this has been in the works forever romance arc just drives me crazy. I hate it. Anything that tends to take away free will Just doesn't sit right with me. I don't hate the dude, but I really can't stand the relationship for that reason alone.

 

RE: Season Finale

 

I feel like everything the show has been working towards just took like 100 steps back. Everyone was making progress and now all character development has gone totally out the window. 

 

I get why Emma did what she did, but it just felt too convenient. I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

So now Regina loses another person. Not only does she lose him, but she loses him as a result of the one person I feel she never really thought would betray her. That said, if they use this as a way to totally regress all the progress she has made as a character, I will be really disappointed. It's like the keep beating Regina up just so she continues to be the Evil Queen. Again, 2 steps forward, 100 steps back. 

 

Yet, despite all my frustration and disappointment, I'm still interested to see where things are going to go next. Maybe I have the unpopular opinion, but ya know, it is what it is.

The producers have said that now, Regina's in a place where she's turned over a new leaf, but has run into a situation where previously, she'd explode into Evil Queen rage mode. But she's not evil anymore, so what does she do? How does she react?

 

That is what I think they want to explore.

In my opinion, her redemption was more because of Henry and to a lesser degree Emma, than anything else. She just seemed so resigned at the end. Like, this is may fate, It was almost as if there was no anger. I'm a little nervous to see where they take it, but hopefully, she continue on that same redemption path.

That already came and went. Meghan Ory went off to perform in another show called Intelligence while the Once Upon A Time plot didn't have a place for her.

 

Since then, Intelligence was cancelled and she already came back. This time, to stay. I believe she was billed as a supporting character in the first season, a main character in the second, and supporting in the third. Something like that.

 

I want her back in that main character status damn it! Ruby/Red Riding Hood is amazeballs. One of my favorite parts of the show.

Maybe it was the supporting thing that had me confused. She is one of my favorite characters on the show and I think she has the potential to evolve her story to crazy awesome levels.

Its rare for me to have my television on for anything that isn't gaming. Once Upon A Time I'll now catch though, conveniently right before Game of Thrones given their time slots.

I still remember when I first saw an ad for this show, in a comic that I was reading. The ad featured the Evil Queen. The first season was awesome but I have to admit that I don't like some of the resent developments in the show has gone down hill since season 2-3 aired. Anyway my all time favorite characters from the show are Regina and Emma. Not very happy with how the final went down hoping they'll fix it in season 4. But what keeps me watching is Lana Parrilla and Jennifer Morrison who play my favorite characters on the show I really want to know how their story will end.

 

I would call myself a Oncer. I guess my OUaT stuff says it all.
