Weirdly, that last possibility wouldn't surprise me.

Well, they decided Merlin was The Sorcerer, so I imagine we might get some Arthurian direction yes. Though we still have a lot of subplots going on-

 

Rumple now has a heart thats WHITE. Like, that screams pure good doesn't it? But they said that by removing the darkness in him, it would return him to what he was before he became The Dark One. So if thats the case, is he now going to be a coward? Does he lose all the memories he had from after he first became connected to the dagger? What will the dynamic with him and Belle be like?

 

Zelena is still locked up;locked up and pregnant. While Regina and Robin are now free to love each other, there's an evil sister and a baby in the mix. Where does this go? How will it be handled? They'd kill Zelena by now but that baby is the only thing keeping her alive;once its gone what happens to her?

 

Henry's the new Author and he's gonna need help figuring things out. Is The Sorcerer's Apprentice still alive? Will he be around to help Henry follow the correct path? If he's not, will it take finding Merlin for Henry to have a tutor? Can Henry handle this on his own? He's only meant to document what happens, not morph and change things, yes? If so, can he forever resist the temptation?

 

Emma. The new Dark One. Not much to say about this except OH GOD THAT CAN'T BE GOOD. Will Emma stand on her own? Will a villain take control of her through the dagger? How will she react to Killian in the new form? How does she react to her parents? How does she react to Henry? How does she react to anyone?

 

Ruby. Red. Red. Ruby. Ruby. Red. Red. Ruby. C'MON NOW, WHERE YOU AT GIRL!?

I'm especially looking forward to what happens with Emma as the Dark One. Will she go dark? Or will someone take control of her?

And because I haven't commented on this yet: I was a bit unhappy with the direction of te series when Maleficient, Ursula, and Cruela showed up because it felt like too much Disney-ification. And Cruela just looked a bit absurd traipsing around in her usual getup in the Enchanted Forest. But then her backstory was revealed and I completely changed my mind, because that sh*t was DARK.

For once, we got a villain that was a straight up sadistic sociopath instead of the usual angry and misunderstood crowd. It was strangely refreshing.

This is the thing I most want to know about, which is perhaps somewhat ironic because I really hate Lily. I fear I'm also going to hate the answer to this mystery.

I don't understand what the moon-looking eggshell necklace has to do with her father's identity in any helpful way, no more than it is connected to her mother, anyway. The Apprentice did point out that it seemed to compliment her birthmark. I guess those symbols evoke The Sorcerer. If it doesn't simply end up being Merlin, I think it's likely someone else from Arthurian legend.

Did this show face some sort of backlash from feminists? I noticed a couple of times where Regina suddenly declared "my happy ending isn't dependent on having a man". Kinda made me giggle, 'cause I don't recall them worrying about clarifying that before.

I don't think they are really worried about it to be honest. I don't even know if there were any complaints from feminists.

I think they were just trying to reassure viewers that Regina's whole 'Henry is my happy ending' thing wasn't going to be trampled into the ground by her relationship with Robin.

I just found it amusing how shoe-horned it seemed, to have Regina say that outright on at least two occasions, in scenarios where it wasn't really called for.

Actually speaking of TV and shoehorned things. The Bold & The Beautiful has now got this really crazy story where one of the lead males has been friendly with this woman and intimate as well, but only now it turns out she was at one time in her life a man..  It just feels so forced....

I actually decided to get caught up again. Just finished up the mid-season finale.

And what was that particular episode called again? Ship Sinkers? I half expected something to happen to Hook so the episode could go for the triple, but they're at least intact.

 

I quite liked Ingrid as an antagonist in the end. The show always does a solid job of making sympathetic villains, even if it took a while for her to get to that and seem a little less crazy.

 

I also (obviously) enjoyed the Frozen stuff. I wish they'd given a bit of time to showing how they dealt with The Hans instead of just "lol you remember that second time you punched Hans in the face, top stuff". He got a bit of extra time anyway, so its all good though.

 

Looking forward to seeing what they do with Gold, now that he's no doubt going all out.

How on earth is an OUAT novel a cash grab? Few will even buy it. I'd be surprised if it sold 100,000 copies.
