Thus far all the characters just seem to get royally screwed over in their back stories, then they lose even that and themselves to get stuck in this curse thing. 

 

Even the villains are in the same boat. A boat filled with misery and death. (That it particularly shouldn't do. The villains really are villainous, stop making me feel for them, damn it!)

P.S. I hope you do decide to watch it tbh, don't ask me why but I've wanted to hear LP's opinion of it for a while now. Mm I'll definitely be sure to check out Once Upon a Time soon myself, it really do look like the type of show I'd have fun with, plus its on netflix
