Well, maybe you should do something with you because right now it looks that your blind hate clouded your mind and eyes and you are responding to completely different post.

"Deal with it" post from Psychevore is 5 posts and one huge picture lower. Comrade Wakizashi just spoke about his personal opinion on prequel.

You're right, I quoted the wrong post.

And look, I fixed it!  And without an Extended Cut telling you you were just confused and didn't understand my post!  :P

No, you just polished turd to cover your mistake and now you are pretending that nothing happened.

This argumentation should be familiar to you too. :P

At least, you never put sprinkles on the turd and called it art. Then, yelled Artistic integrity at the naysayers.......

Yeah, for me if it goes in to prequel terroity I will not buy that game. As a whole, I think an AU or just a thing like ME3 never happened type solution would be best for said outcome. It was all a indoctrination attempt by the reapers then by the end you can defeat them conventionally without sacrificing the soul of our species to do so.

It will likely take place in an Alternative Universe.

I doubt BW will invest itself in making a prequel game. It just wouldn't make sense from a business point of view. ME4 has to be a sequel type of game. My concern is just how??? It's beyond me how they'll make a game that can reconcile with all of the different ME3 endings. They must have some trick up their sleeve (maybe conceived when they made up all of the 3 endings so that they know they can make a sequel) or pick a canon ending, like Destroy (which would ****** alot of people off). Who knows...

The idea of a prequel isn't horrible in itself, because of how much history there is in the ME universe but it should only be limited to DLC type of content (like DA:Leliana's Song)

The thing about a prequel is, they can only go back so far if they're going to keep humanity involved. I can't see Bioware removing humans from the next game for the sake of telling a story that's likely been covered well enough in the trilogy's codex entries.

I'm not sure why it matters whether it takes place before the Shepard trilogy or not. Either way it's not going to have anything to do with Shepard or the Reapers. I can see a lot more ways a sequel would be problematic.

Prequel ending = Reapers! Everything sums up to Reapers...I would really have to let my obsession take over to actually want to buy a prequel ME game.

I'm fairly certain there's millions, maybe billions of people throughout the MEU who have their own stories to tell. Those of which have nothing to do with Reapers.

Prequel era? Currently it's stuck in "in need of the third installment of the trilogy" era.

Eh, if you're going down that line of thought, it's been stuck in the "need of a proper second installment" era since 2010.  But, really, they're all flawed.

At least the third game actually got the main plot somewhat back on track, and tried to fix some of the storytelling and RP-ing mistakes made by ME2.

I would actually love to see a FCW-era game. Some of my favorite characters are vets of that and there are some fun things you can explore during and just after first contact.

I think I can see why people feel this way about ME2, but it just worked for me. I actually discussed this quite a bit in the past with other folks, defending ME2. Here's the link - http://forum.bioware...eally-existing/

They should just let Obsidian make the new games, really. They have a history of improving upon Bioware IPs.

That's not likely to happen. You're right though - KotOR 2 is a fantastic example of that.

One prequel is bad enough, but multiple would be death to the big picture elements of the MEU. You can only get away with exploring the never-mentioned corner of galactic society and ignoring the galaxy at large so often before it becomes clear that Mass Effect just got smaller, and is doomed to end that way.

Of course it won't happen. But if it did.... Bioware has Mac Walters. Obsidian has Chris Avellone. Just compare Malak to Traya.
(Of course, Karpyshyn wrote KotOR, and he's gone. So the scales are even more tipped.)

It's really not a contest. I have serious doubts about ME:Next, but if they take their time and learned their lessons from ME3, then it should be good.

Oh, Malak was over the top, cliched and hammy. But he worked as a villain. Nothing wrong with him.

Traya though, she was probably one of the best written characters in video games, ever.

For me the thing is that I would still know what would happen in the future. The reapers would come eventually. No escaping from that. I would know how the important events would be played out and what would happen to some important people. I'm just not so interested in that kind of story.

They could not even bother with telling us the time line

A smaller scale story set in the Terminus, unrelated to at large galactic events could work very well

*hums Firefly theme*

I still enjoy ME2, plenty, but whether the changes in the lore worked for some or not in that one doesn't really matter.

They happened, thus making the MEU inconsistent and leaving ME2, by common definition, as a false follow-up to ME1.

If you believe it happened, it happened. The videogame caring potential ME series carries with it gives you the power to reject those parts of it which you consider unacceptable. If you believe ME2 is a false follow-up, then it is a false follow-up, if you need it to be so. Needless to say, I don't.
