Hawke, as part of a metaphorical cleansing of DA2 from my mind
if the story made you kill either hawke or the warden who would you fight.

i would have to say hawke as well, and the story would justify it in a sense... in order to get a faction (mages or templars whichever hawke sided with) into line, we would have to beat down hawke... plus my warden would probably destroy the inquisitor, glowy hand and all

Either. I like my wardens and Hawkes, but no where near as attached to them as I am with my canon femshep.

Arishok Sten would bring down the qunari on me.
Guildmaster zevran and his whole antivan crows would be a slow painful death.
Leliana would bring down exhalted march with but a whisper to the divine.
Shale will squish me and everything I own including my goldfish.
Dog would overwhelm my face.
Wynne would give me a lethal bollocking.
Morrigan and her old god baby... I dont want to think about how scary that is.
And king alistair would go all scary dragon blood and chomp my face and not to mention the whole ferelden cheering on him.
And not to mention the dwarves, elves and mages that she helped and owes her.
While Hawke.. umm.....yeah.
Aaaanyway. Back to work!

i think i would rather kill my Inquisitor rather then my male Surana arcane/blood/keeper mage warden who drinks wywern blood and Avernus potion, but i am not sure))) i do not see any point to kill my Warden so no i would not kill him
i would enjoy killing Hawke and his uncle(if he survive DA2) and Carver(but i mostly always kill him on deep roads or send him to wardens)
and i really would like to kill Cullen, Lelianna, Isabella, Cassandra, Celine & Gaspar with Orlais Chivalier and Bards, Divine with Orlais Chantry priests and Templars/Seekers, Zevran and Antivan Crowns, Tallis and Qunari
yeah i would kill all of them if i can

You really need to learn the concept of context, instead of almost literally asking people to choose between A and B.

Depends on reason why I would need to kill them and also my quizzy, however I like my Hawke more so killing Warden wouldn't be as big problem to me although I prefer them both to live.

I, the player, would rather kill neither. However, my Inquisitor would have reasons to kill them both; Hawke assisted an apostate in starting a world war, and my Warden would die before he ever let anyone hurt Morrigan or his son, who may or may not be an antagonist this time round.
On the other hand, Cass apparently wants them both to help us save the world, which means Hawke isn't going to be "kill on site" like she would have before Varric cleared that up. The Warden, however, would likely only help is it didn't' clash with his family's desires.
So: of the two of them, I like my Warden more, but if one of the two of them was going to oppose to Inquisitor, it'd be him. Thus he's more likely to end up killed.

That depends. I'd kill my mage Hawke, but let the rogue live.
I don't know.. I just feel like the rogue is too humble to die just yet. She's just a cool big sister.....who happened to take out dozens of templars.
I'd kill mage Hawke just because of his trailers and cutscenes (like the high dragon or arishok). He seems to be a filthy blood mage, no matter what I have to say about it.

That would actually be pretty awesome if you had to fight the Warden or Hawke as a boss in the game (delicious fan tears and all).
For me it would depend on the world-save import.
I'd definitely kill off my Elven Magi and Dwarf Noble characters considering they were more 'evil'/not so good. The Hawkes in these imports (Diplomatic Warrior ManHawke and Sarcastic Mage FemHawke) were a lot better personality and story wise.
But then I'd get rid of my Aggressive Warrior FemHawke and Aggressive Rogue ManHawke (see a trend) simply because their Human Noble and City Elf counterparts were far better and more useful.
The toughest would be having to choose between my Orlesian Warden-Commander and my Diplomatic Warrior FemHawke, as well as my Dalish Elf and Sarcastic Rogue ManHawke. All four of those characters are likable and pretty good. Would probably off the Orlesian (given he is a Grey Warden) in the one import and for the other I don't know.
For my Human Mage Warden and Aggressive Mage ManHawke import...both of them if I could. Both were less than moral human beings.

I just realized that killing Hawke comes with killing your da2 romance's love while they're travelling together (according to Varric in the epilogue). Heavy stuff.
Not necessarily. For all we know Hawke's disappearance wasn't voluntary and was instigated by hostile forces who left the LI behind.
So instead of watching their lover die in front of them, they have to hear how Hawke was killed far away, unable to see the one s/he loved again, and know that if only they'd been there they could have--oh wait...

As others have said, I think I would kill my Warden. He wouldn't have long left anyway, and due to the way I played him, he probably wouldn't object. I'm sure the Inquisitor would have his reasons to kill the Hero of Ferelden.

My warden.
Better to go out in combat against a worthy opponent than a ghoul in the deep roads.

Hawke. By the end of Witch Hunt, my Warden was goddamned indestructible.
The Warden definitely would be a more intimidating foe.
A Warden of any class would completely destroy a Hawke of any class in about 3.5 seconds.
