Well... since I kinda made my Warden queen, I think having to kill her would bring bigger repercussions than just having to deal with her (now, with b*lls) Alistair.  I think it would entail taking on the wardens and whatever following she and the king have managed to gather in the time between coronation and the "disappearance"; and probably after because I'm sure the Crown would have done whatever it could to try to locate his wife.

While I did like Hawke, and I did take her through a lot, it would be easier to make her disappear (though not fight because I kinda made her gadAwful kick@ss) than it would the other one. LOL

On the other hand, Hawke is one of the most corrupt protagonists in my memory of video game protagonists outside of the Grand Theft Auto series.

idk, I think the Warden can do some pretty screwed up stuff.

I would fight my Warden and it would be very epic and very bromantic, like Snake vs. Ocelot.

I guess the difference is that the Warden can avoid the crooked deeds, while Hawke has no choice but to join smugglers or mercenaries to get his/her family into the city, and harbor apostates while possibly being an apostate him/herself. That said, I don't really consider this to be really corrupt anyway, and it seems to me that Kirkwall is entirely corrupt itself. To even get into this place, you have to bribe the guards.

If DA:I forces the Inquisitor into a confrontation with the Warden it better be one of those "YOU CAN NOT WIN!" turn-based jRPG plot-battles, because (let's be real here) no one can **** with the Warden except for maybe the Calling and even that has to think twice. I mean he might single-handedly clear out the Deep Roads and destroy all the Darskpawn in Thedas and who wants Thedas without the Blight?

Hawke is probably too busy living a life of decadence and debauchery (whether it be on the Siren's Call or in the Viscount's Keep) to give a damn about fighting the Inquisitor. The guy's earned it after ten years of insanity in Kirkwall.

Hawke. Even if it wasn't forced, all of my Inquisitors would love to kill him/her. A few of my Inquisitors would probably try to test themselves against the Warden, but none of them would kill him/her. Most of them would instead try to make the Warden their ally.

Although my M!Dalish Mage would take that last one a step further and try to make my F!Surana his LI.

I would save my favorite Hawke over my favorite Warden. Hawke's life has pretty much been one huge tragedy and she deserves a break. Love the Warden, but she's had a mostly happy and full life (raised nobility, becoming a hero, marrying and becoming a Queen) plus has a shorter potential future. This seems more fair to me. I want Hawke to find some happiness.

In my headcanon, my (main) Hawke is already dead.

She died of a broken heart. Thanks for that, Anders.

So that leaves my warden, and I know she will sacrifice herself for the good of all.

Unless Morrigan is willing to take another for the team. *wink*

I wouldn't kill either with out a really good reason! I love them both!  :D (plus it depends on that specific situation, inquisition aside)

What a depressing question. I don't want to kill either? Actually being put in a position where that is an option, doesn't sit well with me. I liked all of my Wardens and I loved my Hawkes. I don't think I could just up and kill them. I mean, I'd have to have a damn good reason, and to be honest, I can't think of one.

My Hawke. My warden would probably stealth kill me before I had the chance to do anything. My Hawke would just run at me with her claymore.

Choosing to kill Hawke at this point would be like beating a fossil of a horse with a stick.

The Warden would be an interesting fight though. The guy's level of competency was otherworldly. If defeated the Inquisitor's rep would skyrocket.

I have Hawke pegged as the red headed step child of protagonists and the Warden as a bit of an author's pet. The urge to give the Warden a good slap is therefore stronger.

If I had to choose between Aedan/Daylen Warden and Hawke? I'd kill the Exile...she's too quiet and plus she causes echoes in the force...oh wait that wasn't a Bioware game....

I don't think that at all. The Warden has a more heroic type of story, but that doesn't mean they favor it necessarily. I know the writers were happy to get away from that and try to tell a story in a different way with Hawke.

That said, I think the Warden could do with a slap anyways :)

Then again, it depends. Some of my wardens have had crappy lives. They've been slapped enough.

I've thought about this for a while. It would be... interesting... for me, because I intentionally tried to make my Hawkes have different personalities and viewpoints than the Wardens they imported.
So, in Inquisition, if the Inquisitor has to choose between the status quo/order and change/chaos, they are going to conflict with the Warden and/or Hawke. It's one of the reasons I'm hesitant about Hawke and the Warden playing a role in Inquisition... there are so many possibilities.

Female Amell Warden (pro-Circle, pacifist, King Alistair's chancellor and lover)
VS
Female Mage Hawke (pro-Mage Freedom, warmonger, leading the rebellion with her lover Anders)
VS
Female Mage Trevelyan (Aequitarian, wants to reconcile the mages and the chantry with appropriate reforms)

Male Brosca Warden (Ultimate Sacrifice)
VS
Female Rogue Hawke (despises mages and Anulled the Gallows; became Viscountess and rivalmanced Sebastian)
VS
Female Rogue Lavellan (pro-Dalish; will likely be consumed with avenging her clan caught in the Breach)

Male Cousland Warden (ruthlessly pragmatic; has non-OGB with Morrigan; married Anora and sacrificed Loghain)
VS
Female Warrior Hawke (compassionate but naive; defended the mages but refused Anders' help; escaped with Fenris)
VS
Female Warrior Adaar (clever and charming, but puts her own interests first)

Yeah, I don't like repeating the same type of personality/playstyle from game to game either. How boring would that be.
