I just want as much feedback from the ME community to sent a strong enough message to BW.

I know "COMMANDER" is his definying title, but he has his own ship & crew now, he should be called what he really is, not what he was. Thats just me saying. Now for yours...

Even people in Bioware refer to him as Commander. It's just like his name. I also think that Commander applies more to what he actually does, that is, fielding a team and going of missions.

In the Alliance the Captain is higher ranked the Commander.

Well in Navy tradition whoever commands the ship is either the Commander or Captain regardless or rank, if the Lt is the highest ranked officer he is Commander.



At the same time Shepard is a Lt Commander, so calling him Commander is proper too.

I think in the tali trailer the quarian calls him 'captain shepard", but I've heard a few people call him commander in the gameplay vids so....

It sounds good either way to me.

Star Trek may have spoiled me but I believe Captain is a higher rank than Commander in the Navy.

In the navy, I think they use whats called an "Ensign". Not a Private.

I would assume that the Quarians call him that because of their personal opinions...(Unless he has gotten a rank-shift...)

Private first class is a non commisoned rank, the equivilant real world rank for Ensign in Army or Marines is LT Second class

Yes, cause offically I am not even sure he has a rank anymore, he is been assumed KIA for 2 years, and on top of that even before as a SPECTRE calling him Commander was more of a formality than anything else.
