I noticed something wouldn't the red templars be meredith sort of second generation I don't know if anyone has noticed this but there using red lyrium I guess to enhance their powers I mean they all remind me of meredith I think there the faction that believes in killing the mages and started looking for the same red lyrium to use in fights after meredith went crazy and decided to follow her cause and overdoses of it causes them to become red lyrium creatures again i don't know if someone has stated this I just noticed something important
Red templar speculation and something I noticed

Sorry to be pedantic, but punctuation would really help me understand what it is you are saying...

Basically what i'm saying is that I think the red templars come from meredith's past outburst there copying what she did what's your speculation on it?

Of course they are acting the same as Meredith. Both are using Red Lyrium.

Didn't the Red Lyrium templars technically eat Meredith?

Where'd you get that notion? The Red Lyrium idol isn't the only source of Red Lyrium.

well a good thing is we've figured out another thing about the game that hasn't been released yet.

We've known they use Red Lyrium though.

Yeah you're right I wonder how red lyrium affects mages though?

What exactly happened to Meredith anyway? The only thing I could think of is she used the red lyrium until it overloaded and her body couldn't handle it.

Probably gives them a huge power boost like it does the Templars.

I always thought Meredith was under the influence of the Idol. Maybe it enhanced the effects of the red lyrium it was made of, or maybe it had its own unique properties. In any case, Meredith didn't consume red lyrium like the red templars allegedly do. She just carried it around with her.

meh, but she did turn into a red lyrium mummy, i only said that cause it sounds funny when you say that they get their power from licking mummy meredith

My impression is that we know this so far:
-There is red templars who use red lyrium.
-They are your enemies and they are bad.
-They have/ some of them are big monsters called Behemoth.
-They are rebelling against chantry (?)

meh, im kind of thinking that since they put "lambert disappears" on the official site timeline, that lambert is our big bad leader of the red templars

I think Red Lyrium is to Templars what Blood Magic is to Mages

if Lambert's alive I can't wait to kill that *******
I'll bring Cole along to his ugly demise for maximum poetic justice.
anyway
imagine if the red Templars were getting their power from the Meredith statue, when you fight your way through their HQ compound to their guarded inner sanctum you find the statue in an almost altar-like set-up guarded by zealots who moved it from Kirkwall
oh Meredith :C
^ extremely unlikely I'm sure but just an image that came into my head

I like to think that Meredith got ground up and freebased by some templars jonesing for a hit.

Just the only one known at that point.
They revealed a location full of the stuff recently. Large red crystals growing right on the surface, not somewhere deep under ground in the forgotten thaig. Maybe it starts to grow after the Breach? IDK.

Red lyrium's maddening effects would make if hard for them stay an organized organization. I could see the red Templars being controlled by a follower Meredith who does not use red lyrium. I can only think of the control rods, and magics to keep them in check. The Red Templars are kind of like a double sided sword. While, they are trying to meet their goal their killing themselves in the process.
