I love when people "save" their nukes until everyone is down and I have to use a missile to clear their mess up to revive them. This is why sometimes it's fun to nuke random s***, so people know not to rely on me to save their ass... ![]()
I'm really starting to hate use of Rockets outside of emergency use. Am I the only one?

But yeah, only swarmers or objectives, because I always want there to be more things for the peeps and me to kill in gold games.
However, I will always missile double primes without discrimination! because

for Target objectives, if it's an easy target I'll just kill it normally. "easy" being a sub boss or a single boss unit that's alone. Nuking a target in a group may change the Target. Except Geth/Platinum. Targets don't switch on Geth/Platinum, Geth Primes are to be nuked immediately unless alone. Then I will use a Thermal Clip on them, as well as any other lone boss target for the other factions.
Missiles are usually for saving teammates, but there are other uses such as cleaning up after the objective waves (Wave 10 usually), and cutting the wave budget down at the beginning of a wave if the game is dragging on for far too long.
I don't like speedrunning either, too stressful for me when I'm trying to play the game for fun, I don't want to be stressed out trying to have fun.

Enemy objective is just stupid with Cobras, I hope in ME4MP we get super bosses that shot down Cobras for that objective or something totally different.

Most of my missiles are rage-induced. Everything from a swarmer to a praetorian gets it - pyros, bombers, primes, ravagers, dragoons seem to get the majority of those.
Apart from that, in team games, I use it to switch targets, save teammates, or get myself out of a sticky situation.

I find people seem to be less inclined to use their rockets now than they used to be. Having said that, it drives it me crazy when my friends use all their rockets trying (and a lot of the time failing
) to get killstreaks. But the worst is when some idiot uses one on the first boss they see on bronze. BRONZE! Or when an even bigger idiot uses it on a half-dead boss I was fighting with no problems. Do you know what's worse though? I can't play ESO. There's a freaking memory leak. I NEED MY FIX!!! (Sorry, but friends have these "life" things that mean they don't play and don't understand WTF I'm talking about. I'm not sure what a "life" is, but it sounds boring)

I may or may not have fired rockets out of rage on the ground, without hitting any enemy, after D-pad BS.

wave 5 and 8 first spam nuke (no geth) because I like it.
Then the usual target/emergency/swarmer because i can...
I'm too liberal, sometimes I should keep them.

I usually use my rockets for target switching, make a wave or two go a tad faster (wave 2 of geth plat is an exception, I will use all my nukes if I have to), nuke a boss that is approaching the device player, and wave 10 cleanup. I rarely if ever nuke on wave 11 anymore. Not as much as I used to when I started the game.

If you're planning on buying a JEP, there's no difference at the end of a match between having used one Cobra or having used five.
Might use multiple Cobras during a device wave if trying to guard somebody doing a badly located device when there are two idiot teammates off on the other side of the map killing enemies and causing hem to respawn closer to the device -- not a rare occurrence. Ditto for pizza runs. Ditto for clearing the path when making the run to extraction as the clock is ticking down. Can't be bothered to nuke spawns, though.

Any Geth is fair game for a missile, so far as I'm concerned. Cheating robot bastards. No less than they deserve.
I've had my fair share of rage rockets directed at geth hunters recently.

It's not about how many missiles are used, it's about why they're used, if you ask me.
Team-mate nuking spawns while you're trying to hack a device? Straight onto my avoided list.
Team-mate nuking anything that so much as looks at me funny while I hack that device? Straight onto my preferred players list.
If someone's obviously trying to help the team with missiles rather than score-*****ing with them, they can use as many missiles as they want as far as I'm concerned.
Personally, I normally only use them for objectives, sync kill interrupts, avenging killed team-mates violently, pre-emptive cluster**** prevention, BS induced rage, and the occasional gift wrapped kill-streak that's just begging for a cobra.
But I'm sure as hell not going to tell other people not to use their consumables to help smooth a game along when they want, that's just stupid.

I agree with you OP. I guess that makes a total of two of us.
In fact, personally I've always thought this game would be much better if Cobra missiles weren't even in MP.

I rarely ever spawn nuke unless I'm in a horrible PUG that I think needs some help. I often rocket target objective waves (again, if I'm with a questionable PUG). I usually like to save my rockets in case they're necessary for objectives, because PUGs don't like to kite. Most matches, I finish with like 5-6 rockets or 0-1. There's not a lot in between.

3) If I'm in a game and I need more than 3 rockets (assuming I used one on each wave 7, 8, and 9) to save teammates or clear a path for extraction then I've probably left my teammates to die a long time ago if they keep putting themselves in those sitations. Further onto this point I use rockets for the same reason I use any other piece of equipment, to make the game faster.
Why? Aren't you enjoying the current game? I know I do things like that to make things faster if I'm not enjoying it. Otherwise me playing the game is what ME3mp is all about. Not to hurry back to the boring lobby where folks take forever to ready up, lol.
And one of the main reasons I enjoy not rocketing targets is shooting more small fry on the way to the target or around it to make shooting the target safer. And since you like shooting small fry just as much as me, I think you'd enjoy it more too? If why I started this topic, to open others mind to this fact. What you do with this knowledge is of course still up to you.

The only time other peoples rocket usage annoys me is if I've just thrown 2 or 3 grenades into a large group of enemies to soften them up and then someone runs in and nukes the lot of them
How about when you've stood there, stripping the shields and clipping that Atlas down to one sliver of armor, and while you're reloading for the coup de grâce, it takes a missile to the face(plate)?
