[The Last]

So, i just got through with a glacier/cerberus/gold game with 2 of the worst players I've seen with mics ever, here's what happened.

 

Basically I went in the lobby,  two ppl (apparently brothers) who got mics and looked decent by the kits they were using. they had decent N7, challenge points. They had on lvl X weapons, slapped on lvl 4's and readied up. One guy said, "ima be taking all the kills with this kit" or something along those lines. I normally play my first game with pugs w/o consumables so I just readied up.

 

Now right when the first wave starts i just start killing then all of a sudden the 2 basically starts crying like hell saying "stop taking my kills tryhard" when I wasn't trying and "he is hacking" and one also was "lets kick this person after this". Hell, they was even dying back and forth on every wave throughout the whole game, wasn't doing objectives, I even had to clutch a wave. The other player left after wave 3 (guess he hated them whining as much as I did). Even put my mic up and told them to start contributing if they want to complain so much, then they started making threats about coming to my house and killing me (Internet Gangsters).

 

My question is: Since me3 mp is more of a coop game than competitive, what makes it attract these types of people to the game when the main goal should be to work together, have fun and extract?

Edit: Did one of them go by the name Onegai (followed by some #s)?

 

2nd Edit - because if it was that dude and his friend, I played with them about a year ago and they were obnoxious, immature dumbasses who whined about every kill they didn't get and yelled at me in between rounds for not being where they wanted me to be at the beginning of every round. When I dropped on wave 6 one of them goes "I'm not reviving him" .. couple of champs, really

Cause like if you ain't competing, why do it at all? :| It is like in the childhood, the kids who had no chances of "winning" said competing is stupid and refused to do it, right till the point when they received some kind of handicap to have chance to beat the rest, then competing was the best thing ever. :|

How much did your epeen grow exactly? Also, do you know those guys or something because if you don't then why do you even bother getting upset by it?

Ohh, sorry, your intention with the thread wasn't really clear. Sounded like you got upset, maybe it was when you wrote "guess he hated them whining as much as I did"

 

Stupid me, I should have known that hating people because they are whining and then posting a thread about it is not the same as getting upset. Sorry again.....

 

I posted a thread about it because I found it a funny experience that sparked a question, if I posted a thread about every game that actually pissed me off  i'd have a lot more threads.

Could be the lack of PVP that makes certain people feel the need to go out of their way to inject some competition into the game.

I sometimes feel it myself - on wave 9 and I notice a guy is a couple of thousand ahead, there's that part of me that still wants to beat him even though there's no "reward" - wouldn't go extraction-nuking because of it though.

The answer is simple: it's in their nature. If someone is competitive, they're gonna be competitive; it doesn't matter if it's a co-op setting, or not. They wanna be on top, and won't be happy unless they are. This doesn't always manifest itself in a negative way. Some just end up trying harder, others just end up b__ching harder.

Whatever the case. We're not obligated to deal with them--especially online. Leave the game, mute 'em, or engage in possibly (everybody deserves a chance... Right?) futile verbal-mortal-kombat. The choice is yours, just like the choice was theirs to be that way.

As for the complaining about kill stealing...
I got into a group with one individual who felt I was stealing his kills. After he mentioned it in an unpleasant manner I decided to leave his kills to himself. Apparently that didn't make him happy either because he yelled at me for watching a Brute tickle him to death. I just didn't want to steal his kill. :/

My bad if its considered that but i normally try to be as detailed as possible so people can understand the situation.
