In my second playthrough of ME2 and got the DLCs for the first time. I absolutely love Kasumi/Zaeed
(have yet to play with Javik).
Special spot for Kasumi, my azn homegirl and romantic. Thumbs down for her taste in men though. She says she likes Jacob because he's quiet but I don't think she realizes its because he's a stiff, unprofound debbie-downer.
My go-to team in ME2 based on sentiment used to be Garrus/Jack, but now its Garrus/Kasumi all the way.

Kasumi is a fantastic squadmate in ME2, especially when you get shadow strike fully evolved.

I'm playing a vanguard this time around, so her improved flashbang grenade helps alot too =)
w/ Garrus/Kasumi, it's so cute to hear stuff like "Scratch one!" "Hah hah!" in the middle of combat. They lighten up the mood. I'm all about that ![]()
I do miss hearing Jack go "Flyyyyy ******!" every time she uses Pull though...

Well you could always switch it up.

In no particular order:
Aria, Aethyta, Bray, asari commando captain on thessia, Parsini, Xen, vasir.
yeah, that Commando on thessia, such character...
one of the best I've seen in a game. Such development, much personality

And how could I forget? Kalros, the Mother of all Tresher Maws!
Just need a lot of space if I would take her in my squad though ![]()

Characters don't have to play a large role in a story to become fan favorites.
Look at Boba Fett.

Ummm... Boba Fett was actually interesting. He was a badass bounty hunter, a man of few words (one of the first), who captured one of the main characters and sounded fricking awesome. Then you have the Asari Commando, a character with no depth, a typical "survivor who wants her troops out of there". There's largely no character to speak of

The now nuked EU had a lot more development for him. I take it you never paid attention to it?

I've read some of the EU. I was big fan of the Thrawn trilogy, though of course Boba Fett played no role in that.
I was referring to back in the 80s before there was much of a EU. I think the only EU books out at the time were The Han Solo Adventures. Boba Fett had a following after his first appearance in The Empire Strikes Back, before anyone really knew much about him besides the facts that he had cool looking armor and a cool ship, and was a bounty hunter. Boba Fett didn't have any depth in the films but still had lots of fans.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. Thats kind of my point..people become fans of characters for all sorts of reasons and they don't necessarily need to have a lot of content or be fully fleshed out for someone to think they're cool.

100 times more than this Asari Commando. And that's because he was actually cool. They did botch him in ROTJ.

You might like Boba Fett more than the Asari Commando, but he didn't have more depth. He had about as much time on screen and probably less dialogue.

Asari Commando had about 2 mins of screentime.
