I've been trying these various fixes and nothing seems to be working for me. I purchased the game from Direct2Drive.com. Although it is frustrating that my none of my redeem codes are working, or the bonus item from using the character creator and uploading some characters, my biggest complaint is the complete lack of support we are getting from EA. I have submitted questions to them using both these forums and their online help site. The help site said I would receive a response within 24 hours. It has been longer than that and I have yet to hear anything. So far I am enjoying the game, but feeling ripped off. Why did I pay the extra money and preorder the collector's edition if none of the bonus content is going to work? I shouldn't have to go tinkering around as all these posts suggest to make things work. Come on EA, support your damn game and all of us who are having problems. We are not being unreasonable here. You have our money, now give us what we paid for.

Thanks, both wardens keep and stone prisoners got stuck after downloading and wouldn't install. Deleting those files and folders worked perfectly and got them installed.

Here's a simple tutorial on how I fixed a broken DLC package that was supposedly installed but not really working (conversations broken, quest markers not appearing, etc.) Worked for me, see if it helps.

Here's a question (after a short story)...
I originally installed DAO on my primary hard drive, then I got my secondary 1.5TB installed a few days later. While installed on my pirmary, I used the promo codes for the Tower and Shale. Now, after having uninstalled DAO from my primary and reinstalled it on my secondary, it won't accept my promo codes, and even though everything else shows up in my profile (achievements, etc.), my DLCs and in-game screenshots won't show up.
Is there a way to clear my promo codes so I can get the DLC again, or have I lost it forever?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You don't have to enter your promo codes again. Once used they are associated with your account. You can verify this at http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php. Also unless you deleted your My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age directory, all your DLC you downloaded should still be there, but you may be facing authentication problems.
Since you moved your DA installation you have probably confused the background Windows service that handles DLC downloading and authentication. To check where Windows is looking for it:
* Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
* Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
* Right click and select Properties
* Check Path to Executable and make sure that it is the correct path for where DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe is in your installation. (Generally located in the bin_ship directory, but a search of your harddrive can find it.)
If the path is incorrect, its a relatively simple registry fix. If you are uncomfortable using the registry, you could also follow the instructions on how to uninstall and reinstall the service in section 3.2.4 of the Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ.
To fix it in the registry:
* Run Regedit.exe
* Search for all references to DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe
* When you find the ones that are under DAUpdaterSvc, update the ImagePath key to point to the correct location for DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe.
If the service won't start after you do this, there is more advanced troubleshooting in section 3 of the FAQ. You may also find the beta fix for the Content Updater to be helpful.
